Very Nice. This design would have probably taken the number two spot, however, the home in the graphic is too basic. It looks a bit too much like a small cottage. The homes in this development are very large executive homes. Thanks for your work. Some revision could make this our favourite.
I have uploaded an updated house profile. I am still not satisfied with the variation of my first design. I will be working on that design this evening. Will this design be used on signs? This is important due to the amount of detail that we can use and still maintain a workable logo.
I like the improvments. Yes, the design will be used on the following media with the likely prevelance to be in the order below: 1. Large site indentification signage. 2.Lot for sale signs on each lot. 3 Print media mailer card size - logo with minimal text on one side, more information on the other 4.Trade show signage 5. Other, Golf shirts etc. Thanks
Knowing that this logo may be used as an entrance signs, I have designed a new approach to the logo. I really do not think that using a house imagery is very important when branding a development project. The word "Estates" tells the potential consumer or visitor what to expect. So, I have employed a simple design that shows a tree branch and an apple to relate back to the name. The logo will be very easy to reproduce on virtually any media format and more importantly it will have the stroke width to reproduce on any type of signs you may need. You could also simply drop the text and use the icon alone in your marketing material or as a header for lot signs. Please share your thoughts on this approach.
Love this. Can you follow the concept and make it a bit more masculin? Not too much, as I like it like it is. Just a little less dainty around the logo.
We also like entry 9 which would be in first place right now but for the fading effect on the house. We think that signage etc. will be easier to produce if solid colours are used. Will the logo look as good using solid colours for the house?
Personally speaking as an owner of a sign company, the house imagery is not necessary. You need bold lines that can either be fabricated in aluminum or sandblasted into redwood or the new eco friendly HDF (High Density Foam). The reason for the bold lines is structural strength when cut. Now for printed material this is not the case and the house would be fine.. I suppose the issue would be the intended use. I will probably do some modifications to the leaves in oval design. They appear too heavy on the top side of the tree branch.
My partner would, but I like it like this. We are now agreed that we like your logo, of the style with houses, the best, thus the number 2 ranking.
We are flip flopping a bit between the house idea and the unique logo ranked at 1 right now. You have done excellent work and we appreciate it. We will be sleeping on this one and seeing what the morning brings. There are a lot of talented designers out there and we appreciate all of the great designs.
Thank you so much for your work. On average more people asked like your design best, but some didn't appreciate is as much. Since everyone liked the winner we went with it but it was very close and a difficult decision.
