First, thanks so much for posting your design ideas to this contest.

Second, I really love your concept. As you can see, I have you in first at the moment. Great work.

I would love to see a few variations on your entry #122. White Background, perhaps the roof of the building coming off at a bit more of angle, and some subtle variations on the orange that you used.

Overall the logo is really capturing the spirit of what I am looking for.

Thanks

One more comment, if its possible to have the word Tornado stand out a bit more. I love the overall look, however a couple comments that I have received is that Tornado is hard to read, especially at a glance.

Hi, just uploaded a few versions on white with some different oranges (slightly) but only the last one has Tornado being more legible (just noticed your second comment). One idea i added was giving the edge of the orange the basic shape of a truck but let me know if that's too much and I can easily change it back. I have to run out for a little bit but will work on it some more when I get back. Thanks!

I am uploading an image of a logo that is representing another show our network. I am hoping that we can get our logo to the same level of 'refinement' as this. Remember this will be used primarily for television. Please check out the logo I am uploading and let me know your thoughts.

Do you think we can bring #122 to the same level of 'refinement' that the ice road showdown logo?

Also, I still like #122 the most of the logos, however the O R and A from #153 is easier to read and I really like what you did to make them stand out. The one thing I liked the most about #122 is the distress look in the right side of the logo...don't lose that!

Hi Greg, shouldn't be a problem, I will work on #122 and tighten it up so it's up to the quality/refinement you expect. I was considering cleaning up the building/roof and making it more of a clean outline so it might be more legible, or would like to keep the distressed look there as well? Also should I keep working with a white background or go back to black? Thanks!

Hi Greg, just wanted to give you a quick update. I am reworking the logo on much larger scale so I can really add detail and give it a polished look, when doing the kind of distressed look in a vector program they tend to look funny the larger you blow up the logo (the larger the logo gets you begin to see just a bunch of odd shapes if that makes sense) so i think this will help. Also I am reworking the scene that's reversed out of the white area connected to tornado, adding more details so that it again will hold when the size is changed and make it more interesting and add a contrast to the overall distressed look of the logo. Then finally I will tweak the text. Should have something new for you later today, i am at work right now so I am kind of limited at the moment. Thanks for your patience in this process.

Hey, just uploaded black and white bkg versions. I feel like it's close but maybe the house/shack needs a bit of touching up and I maybe I could add a little more distressed look to certain areas, let me know what you think! Thanks!

Yep, I am in love with where we are at with this right now. Here is the concern from the producers; they are worried that it wont translate to the TV screen, etc. So, are you able to mock a t-shirt, mock onto our website homepage, mock onto a tv screen shot (any show, just show your vision of what it would look like in the bottom right corner during the show), mock onto a mug, side of the truck. If you need to put the logo on a solid background, or crest then go ahead. I love the logo and need to be able to show them how it can work.

For reference, have a look at the Gold Rush Logo, http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/gold-rush/
Dino Hunt http://dinohuntcanada.history.ca/#!/
Storage Wars http://storagewars.eu/specials/72-unlocked-buy-low.html

Basically, for the TV crowd, it needs to be easily read, and translatable to TV. So...You and I need to get it to that point and we will definitely continue working together if we can do this. I know this direction doesnt give you much help but I hope it does give you some inspiration.

Hey Greg, glad you like it! Let me rework the logo just a little bit more so I can guarantee it will look good on all those different applications. As far as the mockups I am happy to do it but I know logotournament.com has rules about sending files outside of there website before a contest is over but I will contact admin and see what the options are. Thanks!
