Thanks very much for submitting to this contest. I appreciate your talents.
I love the first few designs. What I love: The font style, the debris and I love the use of some sort of graphic element such as the circle/line etc.
Keep in mind that the finished logo will need a font treatment that does not appear as a stock font. For example in the font you are using, the R's have the same distress pattern, same for the O's and the T's...The finished text will need to appear original.
I am not sold on the small play button or the solid line. They do not seem to fit with the overall feel.
I am really loving #64. This is really starting to feel like a TV show logo. It would be nice to bring a bit of tornado imagery into the logo. Maybe some variations using the negative space inside the letters to show a tornado.
I have added two jpegs to the contest brief. Check out the Texas wind mill and the wind vane, these are both iconic images from tornado alley. either would make a nice addition to the logo (without needing to add a tornado)
I do like where you are going with #82, however, the windmill that you used, looks like a candle to me! can you please try a different windmill, perhaps a wind vane.
I really like #142. I can picture this in the title sequence for the TV show. I will need to see it on White Background and one other variation that the group here would like to see is some different tornado imagery, in different sizes instead of the windmill.
I am uploading an image of a logo that is representing another show our network. I am hoping that we can get our logo to the same level of 'refinement' as this. Remember this will be used primarily for television. Please check out the logo I am uploading and let me know your thoughts. Do you think that #142/#146 could be brought to this level of refinement?
Hello Greg, what kind of level refinement do you need? the layout , shapes or color? basically it's like some kind of 3d effect right? I will do some changes soon and we'll see what i can do best on it.
