Comment Activity TopekaSwingDance commented on #166 Withdrawn Good use of navy and teal, nice solid colors. Figure is in a good pose, but still looks contemporary rather than vintage. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #150 Withdrawn I like the line giving the words a frame at the bottom. Fonts still look too modern. Solid colors, please, not stripes. And green is an accent color for us, for our main designs we use more teal, yellow and navy. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #149 Withdrawn The fonts look like a 1990s computer game font to me. We want it to look like it could be from the 1930s or 1940s. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #147 Withdrawn Fonts still look modern to me rather than vintage. Would prefer solid colors to striping. 5 years ago pakde commented on #148 Withdrawn difference font options thanks 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #139 Withdrawn I think the proportions of the size of the dancer to the words is better on this one. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #140 Withdrawn The pose for the dancer is more vintage, good swing dance pose. Can it look like they are wearing pants rather than just their legs fading down into their feet (that's part of the reason it looks modern, I think). Also, although we don't want couples dancing together, we do want both men and women to feel inspired and invited to join by our logo. Prefer solid colors to the striping on the figure and in the "O." The fonts are still very modern. Maybe Google 1930s and 1940s fonts for inspiration. 5 years ago pakde commented on #140 Withdrawn vintage feel THANKS 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #56 Withdrawn Fun idea to put the capitol dome in the O. The green is an accent color only, we'd prefer teal, yellow and navy in our logo. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #62 Withdrawn If you'd like check out our files for pictures and sketches of swing dancers to get some pose ideas. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #63 Withdrawn Orange is one of our accent colors. Teal, yellow and navy are our three most used colors. The font and figure still look very modern. We really want a vintage feel to this logo because our dances come from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #54 Withdrawn This figure has a modern, contemporary dance feel (as do the fonts). We want our logo to have a vintage feel. Think 1920s, 30s and 40s. 5 years ago pakde commented on #49 Withdrawn Used Abstract dance #54 #55 and #56 thanks 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #49 Withdrawn Would like to see this without guy/girl pairing of dancers (like a dancer or dancers in the O, just not guy/girl pairing) and a different choice than red. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #39 Withdrawn No obvious guy/girl couples dancing, please. If there are full figures dancing in the logo their gender, age and race all need to be ambiguous. In our group we have women that dance with women, men that dance with men, etc. and people of all ages and races. We want to portray that inclusive community. That is very important to us! We are open to dancing legs, feet, shoes, dancing letters, dancing inanimate objects. (No dancing animals, please, though.) 5 years ago
