We liked your design, the thoughtfulness you put into it, and all the options you gave us with color, font, etc. You were responsive and easy to work with. We will keep that in mind! :) 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #108 Withdrawn Drop me a line if you want to talk about snagging this logo for shirts... might be a fun one to have in your pocket ;) 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #119 Withdrawn Makes sense! Thanks :) 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #119 Withdrawn This is simpler & cleaner than the previous one, but the lines of the inner circle still kind of fight with/distract from your initial design (if that makes sense). The circle is kind of detracting from rather than adding to the design. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #108 Withdrawn Thanks! That does look better. 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #108 Withdrawn Added more length to the top ligature on the "T" for you guys!... Also, I am working on revised round emblems right now as well. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #107 Withdrawn There were things I liked about the previous font, just not the T at the front, and my colleague didn't get to see it. Would you un-withdraw it? 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #106 Withdrawn With all the stripes think the back circle is a little busy and draws the eye away from the words. What if the circle outline was just one (or at most two) solid colors? With white inside (maybe, see how it looks)? And could we see it on a white background? 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #103 Withdrawn Posting a new font, as well as a uniformly round emblem idea now! :) 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #103 Withdrawn Interesting font. It is more retro than the previous but the short little horizontal line on the top of the T isn't my favorite. It makes it look kind of tiny (especially next to the giant round O) and it's the first letter of our name. 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #103 Withdrawn Working through TOPEKA font options now as well... Thanks! 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #88 Withdrawn White font is more 40s, thanks! 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #90 Withdrawn Hmmm...that font isn't my favorite now that it's isolated like that. Maybe something more vintage for that top font? 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #101 Withdrawn That makes sense. Thank you for the fast reply. I will revisit the figures to try and capture that vintage feeling... 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #101 Withdrawn Thanks for continuing to play! Those figures look very contemporary/modern to me, and we really want to keep a vintage feel. 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #101 Withdrawn Working through some new ideas today!... Trying to incorporate a direct (yet still clean and abstract) reference to swing dancing. 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #90 Withdrawn We could just simplify the top Topeka portion like this... :) 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #89 Withdrawn For some reason the white spaces are filled in halfway through the word Topeka on this one, so it looks like "Top" and "Eka" are almost two separate words. Can you make that white outlining consistent across the whole word Topeka? 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #87 Withdrawn New designs are up! :) 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #59 Withdrawn Cool... yeah that makes sense! I will rework the design and post new options as soon I can. Thank you for the detailed feedback—makes my job much easier ;) 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #59 Withdrawn Would there be a way to make the swooping font have a bit more of a vintage feel? I Googled “1940s fonts” just now and there were several with similar shapes to yours but they had a bit more of a vintage feel. (And now that we’ve seen the various color iterations you can do you can pick one for changes and we’ll know it can be done in any color combo.) 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #59 Withdrawn Thanks for your submission and the thought you put into your concept. We are mulling it over and will pass along any feedback. 5 years ago TopekaSwingDance commented on #57 Withdrawn That is handy! 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #60 Withdrawn Added a fun nod to the capital (besides just the star), and I also added a border+drop shadow combo to really make it pop even more :) 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #57 Withdrawn Also, I forgot to mention: this simple color scheme allows for super easy and fun color adjustments on the fly! :) You can use literally any color combo you wish with ease... 5 years ago GoodGuy Design commented on #59 Withdrawn Hello, Here is my idea for the logo design for the new Topeka Swing Dance brand! I think something very clean and bold is the way to go here—you don't want to get too cliparty or complicated with imagery. I created a fun yet professional custom script where the letters are all dynamic and full energy like they are dancing. My main goal was to create something that would be really cool on all of your social media, website, signage, etc. while also looking awesome on a shirt or other merch that people would love to wear. Take a look when you get some time, review with others, etc., and we can go from there! I look forward to any thoughts you might have, and will gladly provide swift revisions as needed. I am pretty much always logged on to my work computer lol... Thanks! Jake 5 years ago
