Could we try one with this color of gold and the other color of green? Someone just mentioned to me that the red and the blue could connotate Republican and Democratic parties and we don't want to be in the middle of that fight.

What is the gold part of Texas was red and the star remained gold?

This looks a little like Bank of America's logo but I like the green color. Could you use this green in the other logo for the text with the blue & gold Texas?
