I like the crispness, particularly around the word "Champs". This bubble outline and that light blue are kind of retro...sort of reminds me of the 1987 World Series (or something like that). See if you can apply more of a Web 2.0 style.
revised for you. i added a trophy between the M and the P. negative space icons are always memorable and people seen to like them, even if they don't know they saw it. let me know if i can improve this for you. thanks.
