I like this better. I think we can wrap this up. Is it possible to submit the various designs including the ball without the text shape below? Then we can select you?

It's ok, can you make it darker in color? If you google obsideon arrow or Spear head you will see the look

Yes, I think I understand now. So then we are just missing one version which just looks pretty rough? Yes, it can easily be on a white background like I have shown you before, however, the gradients won't be able to be embroidered so it would just need to be a flat color. Any printer should be able to do that for you. Just an FYI, site rules would prohibit me from contacting you before the contest is over.

I agree this version looks best. But we could use the ball and spear from your latest logo as the "Polish" rank and this one would be the "winning" logo design if that makes sense. Thank you for all of your time on this & sorry for any confusion. We really appreciate your work, skill & creativity

Shape - Sharpen - Polish is our process for training players hand skills. We want the main logo to be the gold spear which is the sharpest, most polished look (this version). Sharpen is metallic silver with some Knicks in it like you've made in previous versions. Shape is rougher, like an obsidian spear head, with cuts and grooves. We plan to use the spears within the football as our ranks for players who go through the program. I can make a photoshop mock up if you like some more clarity. We are almost done. This should be pretty straightforward, but I would rather make sure you're clear about what we want before you spend more time. I made the bevel a bit clearer here by smoothing out the tip of the spear and changing some of the gradients. I still like the rougher spear like in the current first ranked but totally up to you. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to close this out for you.

Awesome, thank you! I just made those changes and uploaded it. Absolutely, this design is very flexible which is I wanted to show it to you in one color, flat black. You can also use the ball separately from the emblem.

Can we see the Spear metallic, the tip of Spear gold and the laces gold? We are going to select this logo as winner. Does that still leave us room

I am really glad this design has grown on you. I love it actually! Is this what you wanted in terms of a metalic look?

I didn't want you to think we don't like this one. We do! It could work, but we wanted to see if it's possible to tweak it. We can live with this and be happy with it if not. The last thing is can you make the same with metalic silver and black? Just a variety we could use for digital media that would look coll

This looks better. It's not quite there yet. Can you get creative with some ideas to make the Spear more of a blend with the ball so it's not clear where the Spear tip ends and the ball begins?

I think this is also much closer to your current brand so it's not too far of a deviation. I hope I can produce a winner for you.

I have uploaded a few variations with my favorite being #103 where you could also pull out the football and use it by itself on apparel, etc. I look forward to your feedback.

That's better as far as the Spear shape. Is there any way to make the Spear tip the tip of the ball? We are headed in the right direction. I really don't want to use the other artists, it would be best if you updated the logo since we've used your original design branding and I would like to keep it consistent. We are very close. Could you make a few different variations and I'll get some specific feedback from our guys and get back to you?

I tweaked this some and also increased the outline of the ball. Let me know what you think.

Yes I can make it sharper but I thought it fits much more smoothly as part of the ball this way. It is like they are one almost. When you say sharper do you mean like the current 1st rank?

Also can you close the outline of the ball?

hey, sorry I have been away. I had a situation I needed to tend to. I have some feedback for you. Could you take the spear out of the middle, and instead make the tip of the football a spear-head that transitions into a football with laces? the top of the football would essentially look like a spear. maybe the top 1/3rd of it. as it goes down, the laces reflect a football and the blade/edge becomes soft like a football. make sense?

Just wanted to clean this one up a bit, especially the feather...

I didn't give up on you but the last couple of days I have had some personal circumstances that took up a lot of my time. I also wasn't sure where else to go with this one. I think the mark needs to be clean and simple and incorporate a spear and a football. I think I have come up with some pretty good options. Please let me know where I can improve. I really like this one as well as #11 #14 and #24 the best.

Yes absolutely agree on the football. Hands in addition are optimal but not essential

Let me see if I can come up with something but I think you have to include a football in the logo because you wouldn't be able to tell that you teach football skills by the name.

Maybe try two hands clenching Spear? Or two hands holding the ball/Spear from underneath like the logo is resting on the hands? If you don't think it will translate well it's no big deal. But if it's possible that would be very cool. Also, what about an arrowhead/Spear head as the background behind the ball? We train players progressively in a system called "Shape, Sharpen, Polish." What if the "shape" was a rough arrowhead like obsideon, sharpen is more refined and polish is a polished blade? just some thoughts. Please keep in touch and I will keep you posted thansk

When you say palms of the hands as in an offensive lineman with his hands up blocking? That might be a challenge to keep it simple and clean.

I agree, thank you. The tip of the Spear represents the hands. It's the tool or weapon used for contact in football. If there is a way to incorporate the hands, specifically the palms of the hands into a design that would be great. It could be subtle. I don't have any ideas in mind as to how ykunwould do that lol. Just an idea I think would be great if it worked out.

Yes the silver or gold is no problem but if it is going to be printed on apparel the mark needs to be clean and simple so I just wanted to show you in flat and one color first. Can you tell me what you like and don't like? I think the mark should include a football and a spear and I tried to mix them in a clean and sleek way. Any more specifics would be helpful.
