Goldfish: Thanks for your entry. The overall challenge with the entry is that it is not clean.
The background of the logo contains a color transition or gradient that would be unattractive in a black and white version. The silhouetted images have light lines that will not sustain low resolution, a fading effect is certain. It was difficult to fully decipher the image at first, it took focus to interpret the child's hand upon the breast. Finally, the images are not really appealing. The child's puffy face and large ear produces a baboon effect, and the mothers partially formed head makes the the image look incomplete.
I noticed this was referenced as My 1st submission. We welcome and look forward to the next version from you. Thanks again for your participation Goldfish.
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my design. Here is my 2nd submission. More firm and recognizable figure of a mother breastfeeding her baby.
I wanted to depict the love and affection a mother feels for her baby and the bond that connects the newborn with its mother when the baby is breastfed.
Goldfish: Thanks tremendously for continuing to participate. Version #6 is closer to the desire. Version #13 and others with the heart is not preferred.
Regarding #6, the direction is great and it is clean, but we would like to see more realistic human form in the images, while maintaining the silhouetted approach. Given that there is only a mother and child, this should be attainable.
The circular heads, the heart in the other versions, as well as the oblong shape of the child are basic shapes that lack imagination or human form. Finally, the overall first glance reminds the viewer of a "ring".
As a tip, here is what we ask ourselves: If the text was not underneath the image, would a casual observer have a reasonable chance of determining the message behind the image? If the answer is no, then that is not an image that we can use. The text should reinforce, not define. I hope this help. Thanks again Goldfish.
