Im a little unsure as to how after effects handles 3d, but im assuming it will be similar to Illustrator and photoshop. If the items are grouped, they can usually be moved around in a 3d 'block'. I uploaded this after using a 3d panel no it in illustrator, but as i say, i think it will be treated very similar in after effects :)
Watch the link I posted. I am going to take this logo into after effects and create an intro like this. So I will need a logo just like you did now and then give it the 3D look. With walls etc. understand?
