Hi
One EPS and one JPG (if I'm not wrong because I am also new here:-)) Of course, I can load these files again (with changes)
If this is not the problem I will send the rest of the files tomorrow via email (also with option trademark on the right side of the steam)
Until you will not get permission to use the trademark please use the logo on page, business cards without this sign. This will be the safest solution.
Best Regards
Radzia
You can probably send only one set of EPS-File, right? I am hesitant to use the trademark sign on my business cards before it has been approved and that process normally takes around 3 months. So I had thought I would have the first batch printed without the ® and then afterwards use the EPS with the trademark sign. If there is not other solution possible under the LT rules I can offer to pay separately for the EPS® once it has been approved - what would you charge to insert it afterwards?
As to the position: I had though ® could be placed on the right side of the stem, but maybe it's more common to have it placed higher up? You have such a fine eye ;) - what would you recommend?
Hi ! ,According to the rules LT i can send only jpg (1000x800 res) and eps files. Other version or formats like hi res png , solid color version could be send via email.
No, no, thank you, I was just joking ;) - I cannot imagine EVER a pink logo for myself! I am ready to chose the winner and end the competition, but I can also wait until Sunday then you'll have time until Monday to send the files. Or if you'd prefer I can also end the contest on Monday - just let me know when would be best for you.
We did agree on
1) logo right, dog facing left
2) logo left, dog facing right
3) one logo without the shadow
4) the trademark sign slipped into the EPS file.
If possible I would also like to have the additional files: 1x colour PNG, 1 black and white JPG, one solid colour and a high resolution colour JPG - I have no clue what these files are for, but I'd be better on the safe side ;).
Hi , you can do this via LogoTournament or my email but I can give it if the contest will be complete ( LT rules). Of course if you want pink color I can do it now ...?
Thank you very much.! One last question I hope ;) - if I need to contact you in the future - because I would like to have this logo in pink or any other alteration - can I do this via LogoTournament or would you rather that I contacted you directly?
Thanks for your kind words ! I think that everything is fine in this project and a big thanks for bringing me back to the contest !.
Best Regards
Radzia
So - I am hesitant to say that we found THE one and hope I haven't forgotten anything important! Any suggestion from your side? If it's ok with you I would love to have the logo facing each way, but that may not be part of the deal. If only one, then the winner is ... #121! Well done, I am delighted with the result, you have created a beautiful logo :)! Also I very much enjoyed working with you - so glad, that you came back on board ;)!
Thank you for sending the link - that was an interesting comparison, especially how all RBGs combined add to white whereas printed they become black!
Let's stick with #121, which is nicest in colour, and a blue logo was my goal anyway.
And thank you very much for offering to let me have a left as well as a right facing dog - I think I like the idea very much, but will only apply with one version for trademark registration
And please don't worry about the two colours combined - I just wanted to mention it to you, in case you liked the idea. But if the leaf is in green for example, then it doesn't work so well as a droplet which some people saw - also for printing it'll be easier in one colour only.
I also like color of #121 but I'm still looking for alternatives colors. I meant that in printing (CMYK mode) these colors will be less "juicy" a little paler
Soon I will send an example of how it looks # 121 in print mode (CMYK)
Color0,0,238 or 0,0,205 .The problem is that the printing of these colors will look completely different. These colors are not suitable for printing
Sorry for the delay - I was logged out and wondered why I had no access to your comments, luckily Ivan from Service helped out - again!
Which colour do you mean by current - of this logo #121? And too VIBRANT? To me it's rather dark, I looked at two blue shades which I liked as an alternative for the darker colour, for example 0,0,238 or 0,0,205. How do you feel about those colours, would they work both on web and print? Or would you suggest to stick with a darker blue like 0,0,128?
The current color will not run well in print because is to vibrant.. I will try mix the leaf/dog color but I have a feeling that in one color it will look better..
Could we try another colour, please? I like very dark blues - and the maximum of contrast would have been needed for a yin yang option, for example. I would like to stay with a blue - maybe turning towards turquoise or a lighter blue - but I would ask for you to look at which colours work well on web and print, please. One friend suggested to have the dog in a different colour than the leaf/droplet, but I am not sure, what do you think?
Also I like the softer font in lower case better - it's also easy to read, but more elegant and works better with the roundness of the leaf and the flowing line of the dog's head. The subline in capital letters is great as it is - wow, I like it very, very much :) - Well done, Radzia!
I have come to the conclusion that - as always ;) - I slightly prefer your first logo layout - logo on the right hand side and the dog facing left towards the text. What would you recommend - after all you only sent updates with the dog facing to the right - but most probably to make it less confusing for me ;) ...?
I'm puzzled - # 129-126 look all the same to me, too ... no, no, there is a change in font, but it's difficult to see, from afar they look similar, but I can only look at them individually when opening them.
Hi Radzia, if you can see logos from other designers, very legible is # 100 - although the subline is very small, so it's just an example. I'll place it back into the ranked area, so it's easier for you to find. Thank you!
This was the answer from the support team - fabulous guys :) !
Hi Chinmayi,
I suggest just point the designer to the FAQ and ask the designer to insert after or in the final EPS. We just don't want it displayed. ["it" meaning the trademark symbol].
Hmm, yes ;), that's what I thought! I am used to see the logo on the left, but then it's nice to be different when it works. Maybe trying to align a capital T with a capital N doesn't work as well as a lower case "s" with a "h"?
Let's concentrate on the font now, the orientation can be decided with another survey if I cannot come to a conclusion myself ...
Yes, this is why I would have submitted the logo without the trademark sign. I will check with the support team how I can obtain the logo after successful registration with the trademark sign then
Hi , Of course I will fix this.
When you will be ready please send me a link to the contest with the font that you like
When it comes to paid font that I have ( for example, fonts below the line is a paid font , I have licenses for this and it can be used in logo , business cards and so when it comes to business card mostly uses a different font than the same logo.
Thanks
Radzia
As to the prepaid font: Thank you very much for your kind offer :), but presumably it has to be a free one so that I can use it for business cards, flyer, etc. as well
Hi Radzia, I think this typo is easier to read than the one in capital letters, but my husband also wanted to show me one logo from the tournament where he liked the font a lot.
With regards to the trade mark registration: the ® cannot be placed behind the Tierheilpraxis, because it looks like this word is registered which legally is not possible - it can only be "Tierheilpraxis Niegsch" together with the graphic icon. Hence the ® will have to be placed behind my surname or somewhere close to the graphic icon, this is at least the solution a friend has found with her trademark registered logo.
Of course will be no problem with ® symbol .
I will try different combinations of fonts (I have free and some paid fonts for which I paid before, so you will not need to buy them..)
I am available all day, so no problem :-)
Thanks
Radzia
Just for your information: I spoke to the German patent office today. For registration as a trademark I will need the logo in two versions
1) without the ® for the application
2) with the ® for use after the registration has been finalised.
With regards to the typo: Let's use a free one please as I have no money for a paid font. I will have a look later at fonts, but if you are able to see logos which other designers have submitted, there are several which are straight and nice. Although I must admit that your judgement was always accurate in the first place, I don't like this font that much ... yet? ;)
I like it though - but you know me a bit by now, I need to ponder about things a bit. also I am not sure about the orientation yet - logo left, dog looking to the right and vice versa.
How about if we looked at the typo first, please?
Hi Radzia, this was the version I included in the survey - nobody mentioned anything about a grumpy mouthline - so it must be me ;)! On the contrary, especially my daughter said that the dog would look less nice without the line! So, please keep it that way! Otherwise people just love the logo, the freshness, a happy and healthy looking dog, the shadow ... I am sure we'll still find ways to play around with ;) - for example the typo - but overall it's a wonderful logo which I would be very happy with!
You were right, Radzia, it's weird how the effect changes - I must sleep over it, but I think it's definitely an alternative! And thank you for eliminating the "grumpy" look ;)!
With regards to the neck/thorax line: If it is not following the stem of the leaf, it's actually better with the shadow indicating this alternative line :)
To me the neck/thorax started with the stem of the leaf ;) - ok!
And there is no second problem, I was just saying that I LIKE the orientation very much - sorry, if I didn't use the right word :)! And of course I value your honesty - if switching the logo doesn't work, it doesn't work - and maybe it's more interesting this way, because often the graphic icon is placed left and the lettering right.
This had to be outline neck no mouth :-) Of course, I can change it or delete.
As for the second problem a slight turn to the left logo should help . I will also try put the logo on the left with dog looking to the right but I think in this case, as I have to be honest :-) to the right it will look better
Thanks
Radzia
Ok then - let me be more specific so that I am not waisting your time: The small line which extends from the mouth reminds me of a descending corner of the mouth - a bit grumpy looking ;). The orientation of the head is catching as it's not in straight profile but slightly turned away which brings movement to the logo.
And a different thought: can the whole logo be mirrored so that the icon is placed left of the text? Like in your original version, but the dog is looking to the right instead? I hope it's just a stroke of the key and done by the computer?
That's a great idea to use two different versions! At the moment your logo is very high ranked, but we can leave fine tuning for after the final selection. I would still play around with the dog's face ;) ...
Hi !
I prefer version with shadow :-). You can always use the two versions.. For web vesion with shadow, for print versions without shades. I can also delete shades and leave only the color fill or continue work with shadow version to to get a better effect..
Thanks
Radzia
Hi Radzia, this is a very nice colour indeed - I cannot quite make up my mind between the green and blue logo yet, but this will come :). The postion of the lettering to have the dog facing it works really well - thank you for incorporating it. I also noticed that you changed the ear slightly, also this looks nice. However, I prefer the logo without the shadow, but again this is fine tuning.
MORE IMPORTANTLY: from the survey feedback I understood that my lettering is misleading, hence I had to change the brief from "TCM Tierheilpraxis Niegsch" to "Tierheilpraxis Niegsch - Akupunktur und Phytotherapie" with the emphasis on "Tierheilpraxis Niegsch". For you it won't be too difficult to incorporate, I think - sorry for the inconvenience!!
Hi Radzia, your logo is really well received - especially the colour ;) - oh my, I'm only really attracted to very dark green, like bottle green, but I haven't found any hue that I like. And it also has to work for internet and print!
One other helpful comment mentioned that it would be nice if "Tierheilpraxis Niegsch" would line up precisely with TCM. I feel that "Tierheilpraxis Niegsch" needs to be more prominent - TCM is a generic term for Traditional Chinese Medicine, so people will only find me on the internet if they get the rest right, too. It's a mouthful even in German!!
One interesting suggestion from the survey - as it is in German I presume it's lost on you guys ;) - how about if the stem of the leaf came from the right side and the dog would be facing towards the TCM lettering? Sounds attractive, doesn't it?
Thank you! Because of the short time allowed to decide on the finalist, I will include your logo as it is into my short list and let it speak for itself - after all I came back to it, too ;)! I personally would go for blue instead of green and change the face of the dog to a more natural looking one, but this could also be done later together with any other relevant feedback the survey may provide.
Hi Radzia, although I didn't like your first design originally that much, I came to realise that your logo really stands out because it is so different. Hence I would like to include you in my shortlist of designers [I must admit I didn't understand that I had to rank designers instead of logos ... ] and hope you'll be on board!
