Interesting. I like how you took a scene from the course and made a symmetric image out of it. A little concerned that it looks as if you're looking out into the ocean, and not at a curving river. I'm not sure how you could fix that from this perspective though. Also, the curve of the bank at the south course actually is the opposite of how you have it. If your curve is convex, then it should be concave. I think it may be too much of one color - the leaves of the trees take up too much of the image. Lots of photos of the course can be found on our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Huron-OH/Thunderbird-Hills/124619467551286?ref=ts
Thanks for the feedback. Here is anew version with less trees & leaves. Also reversed the river image and added land on the other side to illustrate a river rather than and ocean. Thoughts?
I would say it's an improvement, but I'm still not jumping up and down. I think it's the fact that now it's too much of a literal recreation of a view from the course. In other words, I'm not looking for a digitized, simplified photo from the course, but more of a symbolic image.
The river needs to curve the other way, but the ease of recognition of what it represents is good. The way the river is at the course, the banks are clean and maintained on the golf course side, but the other side is just wild nature. This #10 kind of implies that both sides of the river are nice short grass.
This one #11 actually reminds me of the Pepsi logo with that wave. I'm not sure it fits for us though - mainly due to the pine tree covered mountains in the background. So I like it but I don't. It has a cool look to it.
#11 was better than #12, the water wave was cool, just not the pine tree mountains. Maybe you could leave the wave and alter just the background trees so it better represents reality.
