I'll try...although the whole intent was to have the head a bit larger and smaller rest... to look like a caricature ...
Shadings are necessary for the recognizability :)
I'll try making it a little less shaded...

On the images of my husband and I could you get the proportions (sizing) matching better and more distinct lines throughout. There's a bit too much shading on our faces too. Generally, we like your design a lot but the caricature needs some work. I'm having a hard time explaining.
