#19, I do like the colors here, am wondering how that would look on #28. Am concerned reproducing the gray on #28, if it will be readable on certain papers.
Thank you for your excellent feedback, i really appreciate it. I will put back my designs into the pool after the contest in "TOP5" mode. Unfortunately many people just copy my designs "look and feel" and can't create unique color combinations, typesetting or text layout. Please try to avoid them. If you want to see a variation, please contact me! I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Alex, Yes, that makes total sense about the "copycats". This is my first experience with logo tournament. I unranked everything (contrary to logo tournament's instructions) because I started getting similar entries. More feedback: definitely the typography is good and there is excellent balance between the mark and the type. However, I am now concerned that the mark looks too much like what one would see at a high end resort. I'm thinking the flower is over-used and while I like 74, 75, 76, 77, ultimately I think I need to choose something where the logo itself says "wedding and/or photography or both". You do excellent work, thank you!
Thanks Alex. You are definitely in the top 5. I can't do the rankings yet because one of the top 5 designers withdrew all his designs and so I'm waiting for him to resubmit.
No problem, you can still change the ranking after TOP 5 mode... in judging mode only the first ranked designer can send revisions.
Did you saw "Kristy Harrison Wedding Photography" logo? Originally this logo created by Jeff Harrison.
I found in google, this is the first result for "Wedding Photography logo"...
by the way i think flower is not overused in wedding photography business, cause if you see the result page (on google) you will see the following symbols: - focus and cameras - ring - flourish - heart - tree
After these facts i still think your suggested idea was original and not overused.
I see that Kristy Harrison one....thanks for giving me the heads up. Actually, I am leaning away from that one as (to me) the logo reads first "wedding" and second "photography". I do like its classy look. My services are on the high end, and that logo says that.
Since my business is aimed at wedding photographers (NOT brides) and I am asking them to pay me top dollar to help them with their business, I want to attract photographers so that's why the current one is in the top spot..... That said, I hadn't envisioned something quite so bold- or so black! Yet, it seems a memorable design.
I LOVE everything you've done, especially #28 and #77 as they have the classy, professional look that I am going for. I'm not sure how well the logo stands out. Also that it communicates that I do coaching and consulting for wedding photographers.
Your logos are not out of the running....still pondering!
Hi Alex, thanks for letting me know. I'll move you back in first place on Monday so you can submit. I'm looking forward to seeing them. Have a nice weekend!
Hi Alex, I think I have a winner. But thanks so much for all your time and effort. I really loved your designs-- they all looked so well balanced and complete. I decided to go with something that more strongly conveys "wedding" and "photography". It was not an easy decision though. Thanks again!
