Hi. Totally up for suggestions or requests for variations (fonts, colors, additions, subtractions, etc.) Thanks. Carla. (PS: just a note, went to your site and would suggest (totally just a suggestion) that you look at trying to reduce loading time. It took quite awhile and often you can loose people just in wait time.)
THank you so much for your entries and feedback. we like entry 6 the best among your entries and are starting to lean away from an adaptation to our current logo as we'd like to keep the design as simple as possible.
Also, we have noticed a slow loading time as well. I built the site myself but am no we designer. we will hopefully have a new site designed within the coming months.
thanks for the input. this one has the solar light over the "earth" which changes the color of the area to a warm color (yellowish as opposed to the greens and blue) to represent the power of the sun. The S is formed by a bluish purple sort of representing the "outer space" between the two bodies. Thanks. Carla
btw, re the website, it is probably just a matter of adjusting the size of the images by adjusting quality down some in your image program and/or your flash file. Even just a little adjustment on the quality level that won't even show on the web will work wonders (also, even if you save for the web in photoshop, if you have fireworks, saving it there will knock the file size down even more without perceptibly damaging the look of the piece--a web designer friend of mine demonstrated that to me when i was skeptical. Of course, you could have already done all of what i suggested.. (I am mostly a print designer and not a super duper (is that term still used?) expert on web design, but know some stuff am guessing that would do it and hold you until your web designer got a hold of it.)
logo will play both vertically and horizontally (see this entry and next). S for sustain formed by leaves to indicates healty sustainability and growth. Sun for of course solar.
