You are the first to attempt the round design, and I like that. I prefer yellow to orange. Not a big fan of this "S" leaning left. Also, the mirror or lighting effect is not effective as is.
I hope this helps as I think this is a good start.
Could the outer ring be thick enough to have words inside of it, maybe with the look like the words are stamped in the metal? You could try the taglines of "Carry-Secure-Conceal" and Beach-Sports-Street-Travel." This may make for a great stand-alone emblem.
1. less thick. Take the black teardrop images to the inner edge of word ring, i.e the inner ring of word section should run right at the black shapes. 2. replace yellow stars with something more industrial, like a rivet or a screw / bolt that matches the font of the words.
I like the bolts, but maybe remove the outer ring so it is just the hexagon shape in the metal. I like the bolts in the position of the satrs in #120, rather than diagonally.
What I meant by about the outer ring thickness, is that maybe if the new ring (that contains the words) is over the original outer ring, that would improve the thickness of the new emblem. As of now, there is the original ring, plus the thickness of the new ring, so it is double thick.
