Looking good! I posted 6 images of logos I found resonated with me. Perhaps take a peek at those and their use of colour and icon. Thanks for your interest in my contest!

I like the icon very much! My preference would be a horizontal logo. Maybe some diversity in the font to make each word stand out. More colour would be nice as well.

The description of the icon is a creative combination of light bulb and graphs, symbolizing development and progress.
