# 33 - Not a big fan of this one looks a little to 80's or like a radio station but I like the ideas you have on others. I think I could work with you but would like to see some other designs.
#31 - We like this one but don't know how it would look on a sign or on our building. However, i like the idea and creativity of this one. Maybe a few other options from you would be great.
Would like to see some more options from you. I like your style #31 with the abstract mark beside the workart. Do you have any other ideas you can submit. I would like some abstract mark beside the wordart representing family. Just looking for some more options not trying to be a pest.
Here are 3 variations depicting more of Rock with neutral tones and not so much going on with color that may interfere with a sign or on a building. Colors may change or be inverted. Did you envision mostly neutral colors on your logo?
#78, 79, 80 - We don't like the R design in these. I want the logo to be colorful like your first entry. However, I need if to be such that it would look good on letterhead and business cards as well as a sign. That looks awesome in black but cant' always have a black background. I was looking for so more creative things but really haven't received that from any of the entries.
when you say 'creative' are you speaking of pushing a limit in design? or do you want something simple? more conservative? more traditional? modern in terms of free flowing line?
I can do any of these styles...if you look at my portfolio maybe you could give me some references is I have any style or logo that you like.
In your portfolio I like in terms of modern and clean the one you did for Keith Pope Photography. Its sharp, modern and classy.
I also in artsy terms I like the more free flowing abstract kind of art on the one you did for Downtown Farmers Market. The pear and the apple style I like but I was thinking more in the form of people or families. Creative brush figures in different colors. The wordart can then be used with or without the picture art.
I know it sounds like I don't know what I want but I do. The one thing I wanted was more options not just a few and then a lot of variations of the same one. I need something that catches peoples eye on a sign but can also be used as letterhead, a business card or on a t-shirt.
I said more simple but I may like something that pushes the limit if I could see it. I know this sounds crazy and maybe the prize we set is not enough to warrent more participation.
I know I sound like I don't know what I want but it seems I'm just getting the hang of this thing as time is running out. I didn't know how to communicate real well until know. Maybe to little to late. However, I appreciate all the time you have put into our logo. Thank you!
I will work on this for you and hopefully upload some new ones this evening if not, in the morning.
I think if you could find something to 'attach' as a sample, you have that option or add links to other logos that you like outside of LT designer's portfolios that would help greatly... We all tend to get 'stuck' sometimes
You are communicating very well and if you need more time ask admin for it.
I think in terms of 'form of people and families' one thing that is used alot but very overused but possible is the forms of people with pointed hands and feet...but I will think about this I have some similar possibilities that are not this type of form.
we like #94 and 95 the best. I uploaded an image of people that I was thinking of or along those lines. Maybe using 4 different shapes representing Dad, Mom, Son and daughter. I don't think we like the neutral colors as well as something that would pop a little more. Maybe "The Rock" in black with the people images in 4 bright primary colors and "of Greater Tulsa" in a color too. Not sure just thinking. I like the modern look to these. I will see if I can get some more time in the morning.
I looked at your attachment..interesting I was working on outlines similar to this but deleted it because I didn't like the way it was turning out...I will try again to do this for you in the morning.
I uploaded another set of pictures on the lines that we were thinking. In this one the one in the top left representing family is along the lines I was thinking.
#95 is along the lines I was thinking. Not sure I like the skinny stick figures but that is along the lines I was thinking. Thank you for your time and investment in this logo.
I can try different forms of people, different colors, different fonts, different layouts if you can share what you may see you want now that you are seeing some more designs.
This probably sounds crazy but I'm not sure what i want I just think I'll know it more when I see it. I like the idea here but would like the people smaller and maybe without there hands up. The other upload has some different shape people and the one in the top left has a family look to it. This is probably no help but all I have right now. I like #95 because I like the size of it not as big and #112 the best.out of the others.
Here are some forms of a family similar to the lines you posted but not copying them and changing to a new form.
If there are any elements in any of my entries that I could pull into a new design from colors that you like, fonts that you like, and now the forms of family that you may like or if tweaked a little let me know it will help me go in the right direction...
If not, it's okay to say so and that we need to start from square 1 and disregard anything I've submitted and think of new everything.
Have a good evening I will check back in the morning Tere
#119 Is I think more of what I was looking for. Is there a way to make the colors a little darker. Maybe a royal blue instead of light blue. Maybe more primary colors like Dad-blue, mom-red, kids like green and orange or any other ideas you may have.
I see based on your requests that 'A strong family' is the primary message.. Is that correct?
Please feel free to transpose any items in any of my entries and tweak in layout, line, color and fonts if you see something. I can interchange the elements to create a new layout
#124 I like the colors on this one. Yes, our main focus is strong families. We do that through equipping men to be strong husbands and fathers. We are not a typical church in that we do not have youth and childrens ministries. Our youth and childrens pastors our fathers and mothers.
Do you have any input on this last entry of mine for you? #129
I could modify it if necessary. It is a simple bold and easily recognizable abstract of a family embracing one another.
You are entering your judging phase...did you get an extension? if not, the only designer who may submit entries during this phase is the one in 1st place but you can move entries around during that phase as much as you need to. Keep sending input... Thank you!
colorful but not the entry I'm looking for. I did extend it one more day. I love #119 but i'm not sure if it would work in every area right now. This would make great tshirts and casual advertising but now sure if I want it on my sign or not. You have done a great job dealing with such a picky person as myself. I'm not planning on dragging this out over the next seven days. Once it hits the judging stage we will make a final decision. I wish I could have 2 but I don't think it works that way. Is there a way that you know of to purchase additional logos if you want them?
I could try solids on the figures, would that help with the impact of color possibly? A vertical format with the figures above your name? I don't mind continuing to try...it is not a problem...and know that we are able to recycle our entries when they don't work...it's all a learning experience for us...we can't lose our perspective.
You are very reasonable and I understand completely. Sometimes it is very difficult to know until you see it and I appreciate you saying that at the beginning, it helped me understand.
#124 I like this one but this may sound nuts but none of the designs just move me. Only one other designer is even communicating with me still. I know it ends in just 14 hours or so but I was wondering if you have any other ideas not variations of the same ones just any new thoughts with or without any abstract art just wordart is fine. Just looking for that logo that catches my eye. I know I cant drag this on forever and the longer it goes I'm sure the less profitable it is for you guys. As I told the other designer I want this to be a blessing to you too. Let me know what you think. Scratch everything and throw something our of the box out there if you want to. I appreciate what you already have done and I hope my picky personality isn't driving you crazy. If these are it I'll make a decision. Thanks again.
Actually you can take as long as you need to through judging and there is extra time which many CHs take the extra to the end of judging which is 7 days...you will need to move the designer's entries around though during judging and some do that since only the first rank designer can submit but by that time the CH has a pretty good idea of what they are looking for. Sometimes the designers will submit designs at the last minute.
Maybe if you look at the different fonts, look at the colors, look at the layouts, the illustrations and see if there is anything that can be transposed into a new design...I hope that you will find your logo for your church. It is really late here :-) so I will sleep on it and add something completely different for you in the morning.
I would like to see if you could make a few changes to this one and see if it can work a different way. Can you do #120 without the people in the middle and change the color of "the". Put them together like #124 without the art on top. I'm not sure what colors would work best. Maybe grey and black or a color and black or black and a color. I don't know if Im expressing this very well. Let me know if you have any question if I am confusing you. I like this one #120 but I don't know if I could use it on signs and letterheads like I want so I thought I may take the people out. I would like this one for tshirts though. Let me know what you come up with.
I hope this isn't overloading you by adding some of these....I understand about the sign and printing...but I might add one more possibility if you would like to see it and that is the family ...the lines all one color instead of multiple colors because the visibility on a street sign might not be visibly clear...red is an impact color and always visible if you want to consider that.... The blues being cool colors if you print on a white background will be crisp and clean.
I got carried away and thought of the R in a circle but haven't checked yet to see if any other designers used this concept if so I will need to remove it or modify it...I anchored the circle to a baseline shadow with the gray.
I will check back with you later...and of course the family in multiple colors will work really nice on a tshirt as well as in the circle with white or colors...colors can always be adjusted.
#149 is probably more what I was looking at or thinking of. I didn't see the other ones you were speaking of with the people. This is probably simple but can I see it in some different color schemes. Like making the "ROCK" black and the "THE" the same color as "of Greater Tulsa". Maybe "ROCK" in a dark red or burgandy and the other parts in black and maybe even reverse that with "THE" and "of Greater Tulsa in red and the "ROCK" in black?
I like the R in the circle in #146 but I like it over the top like in #150. I would like to see it with a different or more creative R I don't the font of either of those. If I used one like that would it be possible to use the logo with or without that part.
I just thought of something...in case you aren't aware...don't let idea of how to use the colors limit what you want to do...because you can take the logo and change the colors however will work best for each application as in...sign, letterhead, tshirts etc....and all the files will be sent to you via email after the final files are approved on LT
I will be back and forth on LT today but have my computer on....here are some variations and I added a red circle as well...if the fancier 'R' is not fancy enough or too fancy let me know and I'll adjust from there. You can go to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ and see if there are any fonts that you like and let me know... if they can be uploaded from their site instead of 'offsite' that will help. I have many of these already but not all....
I would like to see #149 & #155 with the "of Greater Tulsa" in black too. I would like to have a different font on the R too but the font website just made it worse with too many to choose from. I would like a classier looking R but don't know what that one would be or maybe a distressed looking one like the outside of the circle itself. I'm getting closer all the time. Thank you for your help.
