Discussion

Really like the colors and the boldness of the rg. One note - we do houses, mid rise apartment buildings and golf courses, so the high rise structures are out of our realm. Terrific start!

One thought - maybe we should look at the R without the bldgs in it. We like the letter font and layout, although we are hoping for something a little more artistic.

Perhaps a little less detail in the R; I like it but seems a little busy for a logo'd shirt.

Starting to grow on us. #42 is the best to date. Maybe outline the middle of the R like you have the G, and let's look at different ways of boxing around the RG - the house-style roof probably isn't the way to go. Might even work with just a simple square around it. LEt's not overdo the shading feature on it. Thanks.

Really like #48. Might consider redung the white space inside the R so its just a line, which would balance the thickness of the R ang the G. Also, perhaps the mark could sit to the left of the text, with the text to the right of it. Given the boldness of the text and strength of the mark, we probably don't want to dress up the text to much like some of the other entries, but I'll leave it to you to tweak. Thanks - like where this one is headed.

Sorry - one other thing. I think you could lose the shading under the mark - it is strong enough as it is. We'll also be looking to create a greyscale version of the logo, which this one will do well.

Thanks so much for the feedback and directions Sir, here is my update... I hope this is close to what you looking for. Let me know if there's more revisions to be made, I'd be happy to further improve my design.

PG

Fast turnaround for 3 a.m. your time! I spent 6 months in Manila/Makati back in the 80s. I like it - I'd suggest that the three lnes of copy should all be left aligned, and that our tagline be sized to be the same horizontal dimension as Rainmaker Group. Now how about a San Miguel pinaka malamig! Thanks!

Coool!!! haha! Actually I'm still awake cause I have to finish my last bottle of San Miguel while doing some designs. My place is 1 hour flight from Manila. Anyway, here is the update of my entry, just let me know Sir if I miss something. Thanks!
SIncerely,
PG

Moved you up to #1 - before you get too drunk, a couple thoughts. 1) Looks like you can expand the copy dimensions vertically to align top and bottom with the mark. 2) let's leave the copy black, but take a look at the mark in copper rather than dark bronze - I think the contrast will look better. 3) on the greyscale version, let's play a bit with the mark - either take it down to 70%-80% and frame it with a 100% line, or do something else so there's not so much heavy black on the entire logo. Thanks!

FYI - #77 is the first one I've run by my web designer, who loves it and likes the way it will work on our new webpage. He's talking about reaching out to you to add to his design team when the contest is over.

Terrific work #85 and #86 are hitting the spot. I'll take another close look and get back to you. Gotta run now. Thanks for your responsiveness.

Hi. On 85 especially we may need to reduce the gradient from the center of the mark outward. On my iPad it's really hard to make out the RG because it's so bright - almost orange rather than copper. Suggestions? We're nearing a decision - but everyone has you in the top three. Won't do anything without hearing back from you so get some sleep!
