there are mixed instructions on the tag line... is it the or your past? are you limited to 2 colors for the logo? does it go on the black background of the temporary website?
We can't decide between your and the....I'm leaning toward your (make it personal....the history of your community is YOUR past too....but we need to convey through this logo somehow that this actually is a race....that we mean for people to literally run from their past....because we're going to have the founding fathers hop out of the woods and chase them)
no need to limit to 2 colors - love how there's just a touch of red so it's not a necessity (though it definitely enhances). It'll go on the temporary website (so wider than it is long is preferred), but it'll also be incorporated into the race t-shirt (and squarish works best there).
ok the running chickens might be a bit much but it add humor... if you expect detailed illustrations like of historical characters you might need to raise the prize amount...
