Thanks for a moment of your time...I'm just down the coast in Wilmington, Attended the N.Y. Institute of Photography. So we seem to have some things in common, I hope this may help in conceptualizing your logo. This idea is of Shutter formed by waves.

I definitely like the simpleness / cleanness of the text/font. I'm still not to sure the palette of grass, sea, and sand plays too well, but I'm open to seeing some additional concepts. I like the idea of using waves for the mark... but these particular designs don't feel quite right. Feels more crescent moon to me. Could you try some other wave designs? Possibly a lighthouse? I'd also like to see a little less in terms of the white reflection.
It's great to be working with someone nearby with a photography background - that should help greatly!
