Really liking this! The spark plug end looks pretty good, but it is missing the bulge at the tip. See the link that shows the tips shape

The letter shading makes "The New York" less visible in this color scheme

I think I actually like this one without a border more. I wish "Speed Shop" could be a little bigger. Could me replace the wings with the stars, remove the lower stars, enlarge "Speed Shop", and try a slightly sharper/jagged lightning bolt?

This is an update of my work.
I'm assuming that you want the type of logo that is closed (has borders on the sides). So I tried to create a border that made it look like an antique vehicle emblem.
I've also kept this logo as simple as possible. This is intended to be easily understood by some people even if they see it only at a glance.

For your information, at first I thought that the combination of spark plugs and the crown of the Statue of Liberty could represent your personal branding of your business (as an automotive repair shop that uses the name "New York"). At the same time making the spark plug symbol become more authentic and identical to your business (because of the different shapes of the spark plugs)

I only saw your comments after I finished this symbol (spark plug with the crown of the statue of liberty). I thought it would be a shame for me to miss it, so I uploaded this logo and left you to choose.

Spark plugs could be cool! I am not located in NYC however, so I would like to shy away from a reference to that particular city

I understand that you want something unique. I will try to make a unique emblem but still image the automotive sector.

What do you think if I combine spark plugs with something identical with New York City?

I really like the layout and font. The piston is fairly overused in the automotive world. Is there something else we could use for the emblem?
