The Music PostLogo Design Contest

This is definitely more dynamic. It would be great if we could do fading on the actual "Music Post" part similar to the other navy blue and gold logo that got submitted. The actual design part with the lines needs something more too. Right now it almost looks like a DNA thing, instead of something musical.

We are liking this design so far. It reminds us of a music staff. However, it's too cutesy for our target market. What else could we add to give it an elevated feel? What could we do to the design to make it look more musical?
