Love the direction. Better bird. Use your old stylized nest (the symmetrical one) and you've got something...

So you're one of the leader now - but this option is going in the wrong direction. Simple's better. I think a more elegant bird for starters, leave the rest as is. Also think about the metaphors of what we're trying to do.
