#1 - The use of the Ven Diagram is nice. Overall the feel is more corporate than academic.
#2 - The 3-D graphic is very cool, but again this seems more appropriate for a business entity like a pharmaceutical company than a school.
#1 & #2 - The clean sans-serif font is appealing and the way incorporation of the nickname "TIS" along with the full name is a very nice approach.

updates the slogan is just perfect for the logo ^_^ i think the fonts would come for a bit younger feel also.
