My wife finally told me it's supposed to be a face. Can you make it a tad easier for slow people like me to get?

Thank you. I don't want to develop it into a very obvious face. I think that would make it more banal. The main thing for me is just connecting the "e" with eyes. I'll try some variations of this concept.
