Could you perhaps try a version that doesn't show a mountain range. Instead, could you zoom in so that it's essentially a diagonal slope from bottom left to upper right, allowing you to zoom in and show, perhaps, three human figures making the climb connected by a rope that disappears out of the frame at both ends?
