I think I'd try it with a bold sans serif font and type straight, not set on a curve.

Please go back to the original design keeping the 2018 banner tips on either side. Just change the text in the top curve to RELAY FOR LIFE - may need to adjust the kerning slightly to get all the type to fit in the upper curve.

I like this direction! On the Boobie Open area could we see what the curved lines are our it look like if they have a banner look to the ends.

I really like this direction and the use of the balls and golf clubs - well done! I'd also like to see what it might look like simplified a bit. The black laurel leaf ring seems too dominate - maybe gray instead? How would you simplify this logo keeping in mind that it might need to be printed very small on a golf ball as well as on large poster signage. If you're going to keep the pink text around the outside it should read: Relay for Life Charity Golf Tournament. This is an excellent start, I just love to see some other versions.
