They are okay, beginning to think the lock is not going to give enough pop. Still thinking about your door (all over the board I know). Didn't realized that was the Elizabeth Arden logo so was a little thrown off. Still need something that says real estate and can stand on its own as my brand...
I am sorry that I still haven’t managed to make the perfect logo for your business. As you can check from the beginning of the contest I have explored many different concepts (the smile, the initials, the door, the handshake, the key, the bird, the doorknobs).
Personally I don’t think that Elizabeth Arden’s logo and mine look the same, the shape of the door is different and there are no pots with plants so people won’t make any connection between them. If door’s color is the problem then I can change it (check #62, #63 logos).
As a designer I don’t have any more ideas in my sleeve! My goal was to make something original and different from all the other real estate logos, as many of them look identical. If you believe that any of my current logos can represent successfully your business then I’ll be glad to make modifications.
You are so patient and kind, thank you for working with me! One thing I realized was that sometimes I may need black and white photos, can you just show me what the doors would look like in B&W?
The doors really are my favorite design, the problem is more in the long name and tagline than the design, so I'm trying to figure out a way to emphasize the name and still use the doors but not have it so busy....I'm going to get some feedback from others...
Here you go #253, #254 B&W versions of the door. I was wondering if you could write your name like that "Beth S. Shuey"... It will make it look shorter
Two things! 1)I have been told more than once that they like your lock better than mine:-! But it looks upside done, maybe have the lock underneath the knob?
Here you go #268, #269, #270. I don't think I like much #269, it's very red... Also black on red background doesn't look nice especially when we have fine lines so I made an option with white on red background.
Pink I'm still leaning towards the doors, I had to take a few days off and now need to get serious. Is there any other form of the door that would make it look less Arden? Opened? or what about the door with the skylights and the topiaries on either side? Without the key in the middle....or a mix of that door and the other door....just trying to get it right....
Hi Beth :) I'll search for some different types of door as you want but please keep in mind the following: * First of all I can't try an open door because another designer did it first and he'll send me to LogoCourt for sure! * I think that since Arden's door is rectangular we must keep the rounded shape. Maybe it's the red color that is making the connection, are you open to other colors? * And last, do you like the pots with the plants, do you want them in your logo?
I'll read your reply and prepare some new variations in the morning.
I think the pots make the logo, they make it look friendly. I hate that you can't take two ideas and make them one, both of you have great starts, is that one of the drawbacks of the tournament?
Hi Beth, Here are updated entries #276, #277, #278, with double and single doors. For any modifications please feel free to contact me. Thank you, Pink
Sorry I'm confused Beth, do you want a circular or a rectangle door? I'll try and make some similar designs like the pics you sent me. You mentioned windows, you mean to try a window instead of a door?
Here you go: #280: I added tag line #281: Same as #280 with slightly bolder font #282: Horizontal version of #280 #283: Horizontal version of #280 with slightly bolder font
Okay... So, #284 without the plants (it looks so lonely!) and #285 concept, all red letters and the initial letter of your name incorporated in the door.
You are right, too lonely without plants. Intrigued by 285, will show that to my team member. Still love door/plants but getting negative feedback from several that it looks hotel like, but I want to get it right. Would there be any other options of plants to give it a slightly different look?
Yes I think #285 is very versatile and it has the "welcome" factor attached with your first name (as friends call you). Regarding plants, I really don't think that placing different plants will make any difference to the concept (I think they're perfect though). I mean if you think that it looks like a hotel logo it will look like a hotel logo with different plants!
Agreed....would 285 in different wording colors or fonts make a difference? I may need to talk to you about several versions of this door concept, for versatility. After this is finally over, do you still work with clients?
