Although I would avoid roof lines and city silhouettes, as waaaaaaay overused, here's one partialy unique approach to that concept! (#234 and #246, with grayscale versions on #235 and #237)
Thanks for the new ideas! Feel these may be too busy? And you are right, overused concepts. FYI, the trees look more like a bomb cloud over the city :-)
...hahaha,...sorry about bomb cloud thing! I dont have that association,...probably because in case of nuclear war, my place is not primary target! :-D :-D
Anyway Beth, it was fun creating few pro-looking design concepts for you! Hope you'll re-recognize :-) branding potential behind that open door concept,...but if not, wish you all the best in your future work!
Sorry :-) I'm still all over the board and it's time to come to a conclusion. As much as I want to love the door, I still feel it's too masculine. And perhaps the reality is that if I'm going to have a team name that says nothing about real estate, then my logo needs to indicate it. That's why I pulled your damn (scuse me!) house logo back into the picture...can you streamline it a bit so it doesn't scream house but indicates it?
Beth, at this point, as 6th ranked designer I can't submit entries,...but I've tried already to move avay from obvious house representation, with those simplistic two red lines, just indicating roof lines! Maybe we can do something with windows to soften it up, but at judgging sttage only 1st ranked designer can submit entries!
Beth, I'll try to explain the difference between concepts once again,...in relation to marketing/branding potential.
Design concept with open doors is exactly that - "logo design concept" - with story behind it, symbolism of open doors, as inviting/welcoming, something that can closely be related to famous southern hospitality,...and it is not graphicaly too "heavy".
I won't talk about other designer's work,...my second design with city silhouette looks nice, compact and profesional, but it is just a pretty picture, with no special meaning behind it!
Open door concept is in fact recognizable LOGO design, that can be successfuly transfered to any application, including social media. There you go,...I'm trying to be constructive as much as I can! :-)
...also, one logo you've eliminated (#193), is not masculine at all, and it preserves well "open door" concept. From this contest, this is design that'll go straight to my personal portfolio, no matter what you choose in the end! Think about it!
Beth, I've withdrawn that roofline entry, because one of the participating designers filed a complaint about me copying his idea! He would probably lost that despute, but I don't have the time to deal with all that! Open doors would have to do it from my part! Sorry for the inconvenience!
That's crazy, everyone is doing rooflines! Sorry about that! Okay will look at 193 again tonight, on my way to sell a house so I can use whatever logo I pick in the future!
That's the point I was making from begining,...everybody's doing rooflines! If you go through some designers portfolios, you'll see many of them are actually just recycling designs they've already sold. Not sure why Logotournament allows this. On other websites/design platforms, there is usually section about "overused designs", and using these type of designs is strictly prohibited, because when you try to copyright/trademark protect your new visual identity, you won't be able to! Need to be carefull!
Good luck with the sale! I'm actualy an architect and I know real estate market is not doing great at my place,...hopefully it is better situation in Charlotte! ...have yourdself nice provision! :-)
