Here is my logo idea for your Pub: something rustic, yet sporty. I will continue to flesh this out and see about adding more color. Although, there is something nice about it being a one-color logo--it feels like an old-fashioned brand or stamp.
I do like the overall theme of it. I like the rustic, old-fashioned look, but it does look a "stamp" that is used often by other establishments. I wouldn't want any copyright/patent issues.
There would not be any copyright issues for you to worry about; I created this from scratch specifically for your logo. I will see what else I can come up with for you. Hopefully I can post some more ideas soon.
As you can see, the rustic faded texture can be easily taken off as needed. It would be on a separate layer in the final file(s), making it easy to turn on and off.

OK, no problem, Erik. Can you provide the name and/or website of your competitor? That way I can make sure it doesn't go the same route visually. Plus, then I can see what can be done to make yours specifically better.
I think it is important to tap into the sports fan demographic to make your bar as successful as possible. You don't want your logo to look like something for a real estate development or an upscale country club. That is why I was pursuing the aesthetic that I chose. But I can certainly take it another route while still keeping it sporty, once I see what you are referring to.
