Teaching Firms of America (TFOA)-Professional Preparatory Charter SchoolLogo Design Contest

Thanks for your submissions--both entries have real promise, but I'd like to see the logo emphasize the words "Professional Preparatory Charter School", especially the words "Professional" and "Preparatory". "TFOA" and "Teaching Firms of America" do not need to be as prominent, and in fact can be included in a less prominent way (a little like the way "Professional Preparatory Charter School" is less prominent in your current entries). Going forward we plan to start other schools that will all have the "Teaching Firms of America" and "TFOA" prefixes, but will have other unique names attached to 'charter school', so it is important that the individual name (in this case "Professional Preparatory Charter School") stand out the most in the logo.

In terms of the colors, I like how dominant the black is, but I was looking for a gold color that has more 'yellow' than the type you've used here ...

If you make some adjustments to the entries you submitted with the comments I made above, you could well be on the way to winning our prize.

Xyan--these look great! Is it possible for you to combine symbol from the top of #4 with #5 logo--I was thinking that perhaps you could replace the book in #5 with the symbol from the top of #4 (I really like that image a lot!) ... I like the gold quills too ... let me know if you can do this! Thanks!

Just wanted to let you know that while your entries have been great (and I really appreciate your effort), I'm looking for something more clean and modern ... I've extended the contest by a day to give designers who live in southeast asia like you a chance to make additional revisions to their designs--if you are interested in submitting something else for me to consider please do--I promise to give prompt feedback.
