Hi, here is my entry to your contest. My logo is simple, but it also has meaning, which helps to make it memorable and describable -- two very important facets of an impactful logo. The use of a simple drop of oil at the crux of the "X" in "tax" can impart several meanings to the viewer. It can represent crossing off our dependency on foreign oil (or oil in general) from the national to do list, or crossing out its impact on our climate and our economy. For the cerebral viewer, it represents oil and the taxation of oil as a variable (as in algebra). I'm certain I could point out other potentially inferred meanings, but I get the sense you aren't overly concerned with the logo literally describing the organization's mission. This logo would work well in one color and would be very cost-effective to reproduce. Thank you for your consideration! - Lindsey
