Thank you. We are finally ready to select this as our winner. Question for you however - how can we go about getting slightly different versions? For example, this one that says "Tourism Reboot" and an alternate that says "Tanzania Association of Tour Operators"? Once I select the winner am I locked into that and only that version?
Thank you for all your work on this. One of our board members still has some anatomy issues. Her feedback: "The elephant body length is too short, tail too thin, rump is too small and flat, feet too small, the tusks should be longer, larger, hanging down, trunk is too small and giraffe neck is too thick."
This version seems to be leading the charge. Can we do an alternate version where instead of "Tourism Reboot" it goes back to "Tanzania Association of Tour Operators"? I just want to show both for reference. Thank you.
We like this one. Let's lose the curved bits on the bottom of the letters and just do straight angles. Can we also get a version of this where the letters are just solid with no pattern?
Can we simplifiy all 4 patterns in the text and make more balanced, or choose 1 pattern and treat the same on all letters? Also, kern the O slightly left towards the T. the gap is slightly too wide.
Hello - we've just concluded a board meeting reviewing the final three logo choices and the group all agreed this one is the best choice. However, they'd like to see some changes to move forward with it.
1 - The elephant still needs to be bigger/beefier. Bigger ears, longer trunk, bigger tusks and maybe by doing this we can get a bit more space for the giraffe.
2 - We like the cultural look and feel of the TATO text treatment with the tire tread and want to include that in here like you did with the giraffe version. However, we want to make the text look more cultural (Masai) rather than tire/automotive. Can we see a few options of how you would include that here in a way that better matches with the animal iconography? We will keep the Tourism Reboot message as secondary text but will also probably need a version with "Tanzania Association of Tour Operators" as an alternate.
Thank you for your patience in this process. We are very very close and great to have consensus from our board on which option to continue with.
It was suggested to change this up a bit so that TATO is contained in a box and the lion is in the positive space and the TATO lettering in the negative.
We'd also like to combine this with logo with #251 so that we have the giraffe on top, and the TATO below is the other logo instead of the simpler type you already have here.
This and the other 3 top ranked logos (all yours) are being presented to our board this week for selection. Please can we have all four have the copy "TATO Tourism Reboot"? For this one maybe leave the TATO as is, and add Tourism Reboot beneath in a single line with smaller text instead of "Tanzania Association of Tour Operators"

Still need some tweaks to the anatomy. The noise and mouth are still cearly a deer. Giraffe have trapezoidal heads, long straight noses that end in high nostrils and almost have what appear to be lips. The horns are thicker and taller with knobs and ears are bigger and triangular.
Thank you. Can we mirror-image the second T so as to create the illusion of the two wheels of the car in the negative space? This would be in line with the other version. Thanks.
We like this best of the three you did. But it needs some adjustments. Anatomy is too deer like. Needs a longer face, more defined jaw line, smaller ears and taller horns.
This will be one of the final 4 options we submit to our board for approval.
This is cool. Would love to see some more variations with the masai shield as the O. Is there a way to bring in the wheel of a safari vehicle without making it look like an automotive logo? Safaris are done by vehicles. Bringing in a wheel may pay homage to that in a subtle, deconstructed way.
This looks cool. But I don't think it will work. We need something that will work from far away, and there's just too much going on here unfortunately. The shield is well done though and better to use it as the O in TATO, as you did in another version.
We like this a lot. Let's change out the text to just TATO. And is there a way to make the face a little more badass? It looks really good and the combination with the masai shield is spot on. Very well done. But it still looks a little bit "cute". Gotta kick it up a notch.
We would like to bring in some other options as we're not getting exactly what we want here. Generally, we are looking for logos that are pure black and white, have great appeal from far away, maybe include a nod to tour operators through a safari vehicle (not a mandatory, just an idea), incorporate some sort of African Masai pattern to bring in an element of culture and marry wildlife with tribal life/culture.
We would also be interested in versions with either a full body giraffe incorporated but the giraffe must be strong and mighty. It is the tallest animal on earth. The national symbol of Tanzania. It must be strong and the shape can't look like a kid's alphabet book. Some good examples here - http://www.cornersun.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Screen-Shot-2021-05-26-at-9.45.41-PM.png
Can we make the letter forms a bit more elegant? This concept is solid but letter forms themselves are a bit ugly. Maybe we try connecting them, pulling them apart, making them larger. I dont' know but let's find a more elegant solution to the letter forms themselves.

This one is also interesting to us. Maybe have a more straight forward way to present the O without attaching it to the rest of the word. Make the TATO more like the surface the elephant is walking on.
The second example here is interesting as it combines some element of culture into the giraffe through a pattern or texture. Maybe a maasai pattern could be used. Very Tanzania. Or maybe within the giraffe are shapes of other African animals (lion, rhino, zebra, wildebeest). I think this in combination with a treatment of TATO like you have here could be very interesting (and pure black and white please)
The slit in the O doesn't work unfortunately. Let's fine tune these letter forms a bit more, see some other ways to refine and cut the edges to look even better. And also change to pure black and white please.
We are still liking this but the elephant still looks too playful. Too baby. It needs to be beefier. Mighty. Stronger. Bigger feet, a more protruding forehead, larger flank and hind quarters and rump. It just needs some fine tuning but Tanzania has the largest elephants in the world. This needs to look like that. It should be big. On the move. A powerhouse.
Concerned this giraffe T looks more like a Z. Can we let the giraffe stand up straight to make more clear?
What do you think of spelling out the whole of TATO with animal shapes? Something like that be possible? A giraffe drinking water looks like an A, for example.
Similar feedback on the cat here at from the other logo. It's not quite a cheetah, not quite a lion. Would like to make it more accurately a lioness. Would also like to see a few versions of this incorporating different animals like rhino, elephant.
Can we see a few other options for the TATO text itself. Different letter forms?
For this one we're not sure the giraffe in the negative space of the O is working. Maybe there's a way to make the giraffe head come through the O and not just stay within it. If we didn't use a giraffe here - how else can we be creative?
We are liking this one a lot. Some changes we'd like to see made:
Amplify the elephant a bit. This silhouette looks more like an Asian elephant. An African elephant has a larger head, larger trunk and larger ears.
Once it's larger, maybe you can fit the animals a bit better in the negative space within it.
The cat here also isn't quite right for Tanzania. It's not quite a cheetah based on the shape and also not quite a lion. Would love to make this a lioness with the correct silhouette.
For now, change to straight black and white.
Let's look at some copy treatments that focus on "TATO" and not spelling out "Tanzania Association of Tour Operators". Although maybe there's a fun way to do both - but "TATO" should feature prominently.
Thanks for this. Are there any simple designs you can come up with that reflect more closely the brief we had put forward? More about creating a single strong symbol to stand for the association. Sophisticated and conveying authority.
Thank you. Yes we saw those. I think generally we are looking for something a bit more serious. Something simple that gives gravitas to the association as a whole while referencing the giraffe in a subtle way.
We’d like to see a few more options that are very simple, and also make use of some girafe imagery specifically - either a giraffe pattern or shape/head/neck of a giraffe.

We would also consider examples using just a giraffe face/head. Maybe the head becomes a T somehow. You can kind of see that as potential in this example - http://www.cornersun.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/giraffeface.png
Please be creative. We want want new options to consider and I like your style on this one, it's just not going in the right direction. Thank you.

Here is a stronger looking elephant we found online for example - http://www.cornersun.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Screen-Shot-2021-05-26-at-9.33.45-PM.png
Let's also reduce the size of the TATO. It's too overpowering and takes away from the elephant and giraffe.
