Nice designs! I love the white shape used in 62. I'd like something less feminine, though.... Less like a flower. I think I prefer the square shaped logos. Would also like a more elegant font. Overall, something that conveys real estate in a subtle and very professional way. Thanks!
By the way, that white shape is one of my most favorite shapes in Spanish tile. It's not used in any of the other logos... If there was a way to incorporate it in a sophisticated way in another design, that would be great.
Thank you for the changes. Could I see #64 in a grayscale version or something with less orange? I would prefer the accent colors to be subtle. Also, how can you incorporate real estate into this logo? It's a pretty symbol, but it doesn't say anything about real estate. I would prefer something other than the four windows everyone else is using. Thanks!
101 is really nice! The key looks a little lonely in the middle, though... can it be larger or designed differently so that there is not so much empty space in the middle?
Hi there! I really like 129! Honestly, I think that initial design could stand on its own, without the Spanish tile design around it. Do you want to try that? Also, I still really like 123. I think a more legible script font would be really nice. Thanks!
I like 144 but think it would look better with a different style of initials inside. Something that complements the outside design but doesn't compete with it. :)
Thank you so much. I'm just at home for lunch time and quickly uploaded the bold version and a quick one for a different #144. I'll be home tonight to work further on any changes you might have.
I saw your update of 144. I still think something simple for the initials would be nice. I'd love it if this design could work because I ultimately wanted something with a Spanish theme (i.e. the Spanish tile and the colors I chose). This shape is absolutely perfect for that! :)
I really like those top two. When I get home I'll try other things with that shape. Even reversing out that middle intials shape out of gold background Thank you
227 looks great! Using the same font, what if the T and K were separated a little? Also, is there a bolder version to make it stand out more?
Can I play with the colors? I'd like my name and the outline of the logo to be dark gray or black. The next layer to be a more subtle blue like CMYK 54,28,34,1. The third layer CMYK 18,29,73,0. Leave the middle section white and my initials the same color as my name.
I think the colors came out really cool in 242! I like the font you chose! I may have to abandon this option, though. The initials leave too much white space... it's like that space wants to be filled with a cool design in a way that's cohesive with the overall shape, but I don't know what that should be. 249 sort of takes it in that direction, but it loses elegance.
I'm going to step back today and see if any ideas come up for how to make that Spanish tile work. In the meantime, 167 is still dynamite!
Thank you. I'll definitely keep working and maybe something else will evolve. I might also try initials but not try to contain them within the quatrefoil, if they were much larger they might fill the space nicely. I'm glad that you still like #167
You do awesome work! I think this is just a difficult concept, and no doubt I am a difficult customer. :)
I went back and read my brief, and the key things were luxury with a Spanish flair, elegance, simplicity, and a connection to real estate. I don't even know what that looks like, but I think I'll know it when I see it. With the quatrefoil, there is a lack of cohesiveness in the designs. I think it's because I asked you to take an existing shape and to somehow complete it, and that's a difficult thing. Working from scratch may have actually been easier.
You're clearly a pro, so I don't want you to waste any more time on this design. The other one is still very excellent and still in the running.
Here is another that has a beautifully ornate design inside of a shape similar to a quatrefoil, but overall, it's still simple. I'm referring to just a piece of this, not the whole thing. It's simple because it can easily be rendered in just two colors. The details would be clear, even on a business card. There are no complicated overlapping colors that would make a black and white version difficult to create. https://mirror.cricut.com/web/images/products/2002108/large/0002.jpg
This helps. I will continue with new ideas more in these directions when I get home tonight. Sort of an anniversary, 27 years ago went on our first date right before we started Ringling School of Art. Thank you so much for helping the evolution of your design. Kent
WOW! So impressed! I actually started out as a designer (I've done my fair share of logos... which is why I'm such a difficult client :). I'm still into photography.. I would have thrived at your school! :)
It is a great school. When I went it was one of the top designs schools ranked by RollingStone Mag. I went there after a year at Purdue for Engineering. I still do work for the ad agency where I was senior art director for over 17 years.
Wow, I really appreciate you taking my suggestions to heart! I'm excited about 340! I love the iron work design! I thought it could be simplified, so I played with it in Photoshop. What do you think: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b67dsjukg5ifti9/logo-2.png?dl=0
Sure! I'm open... Also adding more space around the letters in certain places where they look like they are almost touching the edges (bottom of the T, bottom of the K's extended leg).
