I am very intrigued by your design. I like the font, the simplicity, the color schemes. I would lose the 1/2 of the house and let the iconic Sycamore leaf stand alone. I'd also be interested to see an alternate version of that with a more stylized leaf integrated or wrapping around the front half of the font, if that makes sense.
see if you can create a more stereotypical Sycamore leaf. The half of the leaf you've used looks a bit more like a maple. I know I'm splitting hairs, but I feel like you are at the 1 yard line and just need a few tweaks.
Thank you for the feedback. I will try to work on my concepts. I am not sure that I can use just a plain sycamore leaf as designer FlatWorld has used that and I don't want to copy him. I think a sycamore leaf is expected because of the name but I will try to make mine more unique.
I agree. Perhaps something with more of a rustic/grainy or warn affect to the leaf. Almost like the leaf is an old photograph with imperfections, but the font below is elegant, crisp and clean.
yeah, sort of. I was thinking a full leaf (almost in the background), with the beginning of the word Sycamore over it. with the stem of the leaf curled down to below and offset the "custom homes" to the right.
I like what i've seen, but there hasn't been a lot of variety. I would be very interested in seeing a logo with some sort of design or insignia. i like the leaf, but it may be a bit too obvious.
I must admit that this insignia is not really my style but I tried to come up with something elegant that represents a sycamore and homes (subtly) in #162
I appreciate the effort. It's hard to come up with something exciting when it's not in your wheelhouse. I was hoping for something more of a line or scroll type design. Perhaps a black and white scroll type design that makes up a stylized leaf shape. I'm not sure I'm explaining it well.
I thought that's what you meant but that is not really my style so it would be hard for me to do something like that. Not to mention, I don't think the shape of the sycamore leaf is necessarily conducive to that style.
