It can easily be flattened. But with today's technology and the versatility of vector file formats it can be printed easily and clearly as is. It is simple enough to work in black and white as well. We flatten and deconstruct much more complex logos all the time. You will have no problem with this concept.
#125 | I used an extreme example to show how the design stays recognizable when reduced and the color is removed. (There is no charge for the black and white file after the fact.)
These are vector files. Your print shop can enlarge them for a billboard or reduce them for a business card. Vector uses math calculations rather than pixels. So at any size it maintains clarity. That is why Logo Tournament will require your final file is delivered as a .eps vector file.
Simply put with today's graphics technology you can do whatever you want with your logo.
It does, and thank you. Re the vector-based design, I figured as much. You're still in the lead...and I am sitting with the rest of the exec team tomorrow for deep discussions and (hopefully) a conclusion. A couple of thoughts:
1. I think the tag line looks better when it is the same width as the name. Pls try that.
2. In the few circumstances that require finite colors (rather than a 4-color print), can you pls create a version that uses flat colors, rather than gradients?
Well, I have some consensus from the team and your design (#84) is indeed the winner. Here's our last requests:
We'd like to modify the type. Can you mimic submission #46, who I believe used the same font for both words as you did for SCORE. We think that using the same font for SURE ads to its strength. We also like the way that submission #46 uses the gradation with the darker colors on the upper 1/2 of the letters and lightening on the bottom 1/2. We also like the way the tag line is used in #46 (both sides justified, and with the vertical bars between each word). We'd like to see versions with SURE in green and SCORE in blue, and vice versa. Finally we'd also like a FLAT version like your entry #126.
