Wonderful! Thank you for choosing my design to represent your products. I have uploaded the final files for approval to complete the contest and will email you directly with the alternate versions for light & dark backgrounds. It's been fun working with you; thanks again!
Thank you for all of your help and design work! Please provide vector file formats, along with png and jpg. Also, please provide the logo for dark backgrounds and one for light backgrounds (both with a transparent background). Thank you again for all of your help! It is greatly appreciated!
Sure thing. I can see how it is visually competing with the drip—great input. I tried a version with a subtle "splash" shape, and one with a simple circle/jewel. Both of which seem less dominant.
one last thing. Can you do something about that diamond in the crown. Maybe change it up or something. I feel that it takes away from the drip a little. Thanks
Thanks for your continued interest and feedback, this is really helpful! I made the adjustments you suggested:
1.) I decreased "Drips" size back down, while wrapping the ribbon/banner around the ends of the word. I also used a more legible font and changed to white–it seems to be much easier to read in that color.
2.) I changed out the cross on the crown to a drip ornament.
3.) there is a reversed version on a white background to check out too. :)
Can you also try changing the cross out on the crown and adding a drip in there instead and see how that looks. The cross might offend some people. Thanks
Okay we are most likely going to go with the leaf laurel one, but we just want to see what the banner below would look like on this one too. Thanks - sorry for the confusion!
Also, maybe play around with the size of the word "DRIPS" as it looks bigger than it was previously. Maybe make the banner go around the word drips (or hug it?) I hope that makes sense, lol.
So sorry for the ongoing issue :( As long as you know you requested laurels before Scott even entered the contest, we should be good. You may also want to keep Admin aware of the situation. Anyway, I've posted a new version with the laurels for you to review. Let me know how things are looking—thanks!!
I asked LT to extend the finalists stage since we had over 24 hours dealing with the laurels issue. Scott has withdrawn from the contest and said he also informed you that he's not worried about you using laurels anymore. Could you please repost it once the contest is back in the finalists stage? Thank you.
Please repost the laurel version of your logo that you did, scott understands now that yours was actually posted first. I asked you to put a laurel on the crown 1 day and 15 hours ago (this was before his first logo was even posted). See the comment on #102 where I asked you to put a leaf laurel on it.
Interesting ... if you could message Scott directly and let him know I posted first, I'd be happy to add them back. I wanted to avoid a Logo Court. Alternatively, you could also add "leafy laurels" to the comments section for all designers to incorporate, or revise the contest brief stating you want them. I believe it gives everyone a chance to add those elements—however, you may want to double check with Admin first. I'm just trying to play by the rules :)
You had the laurels in your logo before Scott even posted his first logo, but you removed it for some reason (even though it didn't have a drip in it).
I've been away, so sorry for the late responses. Like the drip in the crown, I was confronted by designer 'Scott' not to use the leafy laurels in my designs, as he introduced it first in his. Folks tend to get defensive of their creative elements, which I respect as a fellow designer. The laurels could be an optional element added down the road, though, whoever you choose to work with.
Pretty sure we are going to go with your design - but we are worried we are not going to be able to get the final revisions in before the time expires... Are you able to post up the crown with the leafs around it again?
REALLY like the ghostly drip in the background - maybe make the dots to the left and right more ghostly and fade it more? I want the dots to barely be visible.
I've been confronted by dodihanz regarding the drip in the crown and have chosen to remove the entry. However, I replaced the drip with a jewel—overall, I don't think this affects the overall design much. It doesn't seem like a critical element , just a minor detail.
I tried a few new versions, one that incorporates a more uniform crown, centered over the "R", with a drip in "R". I also have the variation on the Victorian style crown as well.
Thank you for continued feedback, it is much appreciated. :-)
Could you also try and refine this one a little - make the crown look more uniform and have the "R" wearing the crown? When I mean wearing the crown though - i mean center it over the R - not put it right up against it :)
The other example we showed still looks better than this one - maybe because the left two dots and right two dots (and arms) look uneven? Also, it's flat - were as your current ranked 1 logo looks slightly curved at the bottom (where it looks like the R is actually wearing the crown). Maybe try to curve the bottom, center it over the "R" and make the arms of the crown more uniform in width (along with the dots) - the dots and arms should still be sloping though.
Great, thanks for checking with admin. I created a crown similar in design and uploaded for your review. I may try a few other options to see as well. I really appreciate your continued interest, thank you!
I asked logotournament about using portions of multiple designs, and they say that it is possible as long as you and the other designer work something out. We really like his crown and the way he implemented the drip in the crown itself. If you are comfortable giving us crown and crown options until we are happy, that is fine with me too - but his crown that I showed you is the best we've seen so far.
Thanks pdxmicro, I'm glad everything is looking good. As designers, we aren't able to split or share winnings, so unfortunately you will have to choose one or the other. I created a crown that you prefer, but have chosen to make my own that is styled a little differently. We can also go a bit more simple, similar to the first entry I added to the contest.
I like everything but the crown - so please leave everything else the same :) Here is the ranked 1 crown that we like. If there is any way that you and the other designer can work together and use this crown on your design, that would likely be the winner of this contest. Here is the ranked 1 crown: http://www.pdxmicro.com/wp-content/uploads/example2.png
Thanks again for the great feedback, this is helpful. I found a more regal font and created a new crown for the design. Unfortunately, we can't see other designers entries so as not to copy each other, so I built my own.
The font on #69 that you submitted looks better, but is still missing something in my opinion. There is a font from another logo that I like from another designer, but don't know what font it is (the R has a swoosh towards the bottom similar to the one you are using on #77, but the font is thicker).
I like the crown better, but would rather have the crown similar to like what I have as my current 1st ranked logo (not sure if you can see it?). Also, the font for this one doesn't look good...
Hi pdxmicro, thank you for the feedback! I just uploaded a new rendition for you to review. I created a more luxurious design with a new script font and crown.
Really liking the luxury/exclusive look to this logo. Do you have a better crown that you can use? The one that's shown in the logo looks more like clipart? Could you also try a more luxurious font - maybe an easy to read cursive style?
