We want to make sure we communicate clearly with you to give you the best opportunity to win this contest. We like your designs and believe you can win but we are not sure the current design is going to be the one. It's great but we feel some of the other designs are a little more standout. We want a unique and memorable design with impact. The type of design that demands attention and is hard to overlook. This can be achieved in several ways meaning there's not just one type of design that can be unique, memorable and impactful. Please submit any additional ideas that you may have. It's not decided yet. There's still an opportunity to win. Best regards, David 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #29 Withdrawn Congratulations you are a finalist. We reviewed your other recent submissions. If you have any other fundamentally different ideas we would love to see them. This is great, but what we are looking for is something just a little more unique and memorable. Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #78 Withdrawn The spoon feels to separate/laid over the text 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #44 Withdrawn I like some of your other concepts better and would love to see any additional creative design ideas you can come up with. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #29 Withdrawn A couple additional thoughts to evolve this design. Overall, I would still love to see any creative ideas you may have to make it more unique and memorable. More specifically maybe you could do something with the knife. I realize the connection with the chef but it has a bit more dangerous feel to it. We offer a personal chef service where chefs go to the customer location so the logo really needs to feel trustworthy and safe. I presume you are using a knife icon rather than editing the font in some way, but as a suggestion maybe there’s a way to use a fork and connect the H and E. Also maybe experiment with the size of the hat to see how that effects the overall feel. Don’t feel like my suggestions are better than your creative ideas. I just wanted to offer anything I can to evolve this logo. In summary, I really like this logo but I feel like it would be even better if it was somehow a little more unique. Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #53 Withdrawn Hi I like this logo. I like the boldness and how it’s eye catching. I love the simplicity. I think it is interesting how the letters connect to the hat but not sure it’s entirely necessary. Maybe just the upper part of the hat is sufficient to get the point across. Also wondering if there’s a creative way to scale up the hat to encompass the text to create a more cohesive whole. Maybe a background shape or something with the logo in the negative reverse color could bring it all together. Overall I like but would love to see an evolution that makes it feel a bit more cohesive and unique. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #48 Withdrawn Like the idea here how the hat is incorporated into the text. Maybe Super needs to bigger and bolder. Also maybe hat could get wider or something to work with larger Super. Might also be other ways or places to work the hat into the design. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #28 Withdrawn Hi: This logo has potential. I like the SC and the modern feel of the font. I understand the idea with the Superman diamond shape but I think it might be a little bit too much like the Superman diamond shape. Maybe the shape could be changed to be somewhat more unique. Also not sure if it needs both the chefs hat and the diamond shape. Maybe you can come up with some creative way to use just one shape, either some variation on the hat shape or variation on the diamond shape and use just one shape. Maybe there’s even some way to combine the SC and SUPERCHEFS text. Overall I am looking for something more cohesive that feels like one thing instead of separate elements. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #29 Withdrawn Hi I like the logo you created and it is one of my favorites so far. What I like about it is that it’s pretty simple. Has good balance. Would work well for most digital uses. Could be reversed to be white with black letters for black backgrounds. However, I'm not entirely certain how unique or memorable it is and wonder if you might have any creative ideas that you can try to evolve this logo to make it feel a bit more unique and memorable. The hat and knife are iconic symbols and I like them but they are also commonly used by other companies in our industry and wondering if there’s some different maybe even simpler way to use these symbols that is still recognizable as a chefs hat but somehow unique in our logo. Please submit any evolved design ideas you might come up with. Thanks. 5 years ago
