I'm awaiting your thoughts . 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #302 Withdrawn Hi there, I just uploaded some new options, #312 with a thinner outline on both words, and #313 with even thinner ones. One thing I'd like to make you aware of is that when a dark outline is added to a light text, it can make it more readable, but when a light outline is added to a dark text, it actually makes the opposite and can make it a bit blurry. It all depends, but I just wanted to mention it. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #302 Withdrawn Hi again: Can we see one tiny tweak here. The outline around SUPER does help it stand out and makes it more readable when used in a smaller size. But it somehow feels a little strange like its somehow different than the CHEFS. Can you please try adding a corresponding yellow outline around the CHEFS to see if they feel more similar and connected. On both we want to go with the minimum width on the outline (just enough to make it stand out a bit). Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #303 Withdrawn Hi: Planning to finalize the contest today. Can you make a tiny tweak on the text width. This wider text font width does make the text stand out a bit more on the site and in other online uses. However, this fat makes it feel a little less modern. Is there an in-between? Meaning could you use a font width that somewhere between this width and the original width in your submission #216 currently ranked 1st. Also, I like the brighter original color in #216 so maybe modify #216 to go just slightly wider than it is now but not quite as wide as this width in #303. 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi, Yes - you will get the file in source vector format EPS, but I can provide you with any additional format you might like, like AI or PDF. But EPS can also be opened in Adobe Illustrator or Corel without problems. Yes - I cna provide you with variations regarding text placement. and Yes - beside the default JPG image you get as one of the final files, I can also provide you with a PNG, a transparent PNG and whatever other format you wish to have :) Regards, Norbert 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi: When the contest ends, can we get the logo in an editable format like .ai ? Also, can we get it in a couple variations like text beside the symbol and text below the symbol. Lastly, can we get it with a transparent background? Please let me know. Thanks 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi, sure, here we go: #308, #309, #310 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi: Could you please send the serving tray and smile portion only (without SuperChefs text). We want to see what the symbol looks like in our social media. Thanks 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #300 Withdrawn What is the background color of your website? Maybe I can send you a version with this particular background color so it will be easier to match. 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #300 Withdrawn Hi, I just uploaded #307 as a transparent png, but I'm afraid that the system automatically applies a white background to the file so it won't be possible to do it at this point. I also adjusted the text so it's perfectly aligned horizontally with the graphics. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #300 Withdrawn Hi: Can you please send this with a transparent background? We want to see how it looks on our site. Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi again: Could we also see it white a transparent background. No rush by the way, we realize there's a time difference. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi: We still feel this is your best design. Can we please see a subtle outline around the text on this design? We just want to see if it makes the yellow color stand out a bit more on a white background. Also as an alternative maybe try making the yellow color a little more gold (just a tiny bit - not too much because we like it now) Just want to see if a color that contrasts slightly more with the white background will make it stand out without the need for an outline. So no outline just ever so slightly more gold. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #215 Withdrawn Hi: Can we please see this type of outline around the text on the design we currently rank 2nd? 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #216 Withdrawn I think it's a great concept and I'm not sure if I want to make it more cluttered. My idea behind was to make it light and modern and to bring good feelings. It can also be applied on t-shirts, hats and so on, but because the text is on the right, or the bottom, I wouldn't say it's incoherent, I think it is because it uses the same line weight, that's why I chose this particular font for the text, as it has the same thickness as other shapes. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #271 Withdrawn Hi: You're awesome and I'm sure you can win this contest. Thank you for continuing to come up with new ideas. What I like about this latest idea is the way it brings things together. But the simplicity of your design is what makes it stand out and the extra just seems to complicate the feel. Maybe there's some small tweaks that can get this design there. With this design we are looking for is something that creates a little more cohesiveness making it feel like one thing rather than text and an icon. Maybe there's some other way to bring it together that feels a little less complicated. Did you try it without the little ends on the box and maybe scaling things? Did you try somehow containing the whole in the rectangular or some other type of shape? I liked you're other previous attempt with circular idea but I think the outer ring seemed to complicate the design and it seemed to resemble a life preserver or something. What I love about your designs is they are simple, modern and friendly. What I still want to evolve is the power, impact and feeling of cohesiveness. Please send any other creative ideas you may have. It's almost there. See if you can create something that is even more impactful. Thanks, David 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi David, I'll work on it and will upload new revisions by tomorrow (it's almost 2am here in Scotland). I hope that's ok :) Thanks! Norbert 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #137 Withdrawn We still really love this initial concept. We would love to see any creative ideas you have to evolve this toward a more cohesive one thing feel. Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #179 Withdrawn We really like how this one creates the feel of one cohesive thing. What we are not sure about with this one is how easy it is to read the text and also how the text feels as the outline - it seems to create a bit of a rough or broken feel to the outer shape. Overall we love it but if you have any creative ideas you about how to enhance the text we would love to see them. Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #215 Withdrawn We really love this one. Only thing we're not sure about this one is if it feels as much like one cohesive thing. Otherwise its awesome. Thanks. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #216 Withdrawn Hi: Congratulations you are a finalist. We love the simplicity and friendliness of your designs. We also like the modern feel. Here are our favorites designs that you created. This one #216, #215, #179 and #137. I will make some specific comments on each separate design in that particular design comment box. For this one #216 we love how the stacked text brings the text and other elements together. Only thing we are not sure about with this one is how well it scales for uses where it needs to fit in a small box or circle. Sometimes logos that are wider than they are tall can end up rather small and hard to read when they need to be scaled way down to fit in a square for example. Otherwise I think this is our favorite of all you have created so far. Regards, David 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #215 Withdrawn Here is one with a very subtle outline. I personally prefer flat over 3D, simplicity is the key, therefore I also prefer ones without an outline, simply the less clutter the better, and it looks better when scaled down, so this makes the logo more versatile when used on different media. 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #207 Withdrawn This is 3D type effect on the text is cool but I think I like the flat text in #176 & 137 but with just a little narrow thin line outline all around the text. So, like 176 but very fine outline. Did you try that? If the text is going to have a 3D effect did you try making the other elements with the same effect? Please let me know. Thanks 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #176 Withdrawn Of course, I keep it in mind :) I just uploaded new versions, let's see if we're closer. Thanks! 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #196 Withdrawn This looks better but I think we’re still leaning toward your design #176 as our favorite. I think that other design needs a tweak to the text outline as described in that design comment. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #176 Withdrawn Don’t forget this design because I think this is still our favorite. Please see prior comments above relating to text outline width. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #182 Withdrawn I love this concept also. For this one I feel like the central text needs to come into better proportional balance with the whole. Maybe the central text section just needs to be scaled slightly smaller or the other elements need to be scaled bigger. The name is still the central message so don’t go overboard on changing the proportions. Just looking for a more balanced feel. Thanks 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #176 Withdrawn Love this concept the most. It’s simple, friendly and memorable. The updated text is the right direction but I think the outline around the text is too thick. The outline works to make the text feel more impactful and works together better in context but now experiment with the outline thickness. Maybe experiment with a more narrow border/outline around the text. Maybe mimic the smile where it appears that the dark part of the smile is considerably wider than the gold. In summary, please try a more narrow outer border/outline around the text and any other changes you feel are needed with the text. Thanks. 5 years ago itDiffers commented on #137 Withdrawn Hi, thank you for the feedback, I just uploaded new options for you. I wanted to avoid fonts that are too bold, as my idea was to keep the font lines the same as other elements for the same feel so the logo looks modern and coherent. I'm awaiting your thoughts. Thanks! 5 years ago davidwhitmer commented on #137 Withdrawn Hi: We really love this concept. It’s simple, modern, friendly and memorable. We would really like to see a couple small tweaks. We’re looking for a logo that feels like one thing rather than text below a smile with a serving tray on top. Don’t get me wrong this works together now but we would love to see if you can use your creative skills to try to bring this together even more with idea of creating the feeling of one cohesive thing. With that in mind we would like to make a couple suggestions. Suggestion 1: We like the modern feel of the font but maybe try making it more bold or with a little more impact. Just as a suggestion maybe try a black outline around the Super and corresponding gold outline around Chefs. The idea being to bring the two words together in context with each other and with the smile above. Also can you add a tiny bit of space between Super and Chefs (not a full space, just enough to enhance readability). Suggestion 2: Maybe try moving the text up below the tray and above the smile. You might have to work with the scale to create balance. Maybe it will work if the text is wider than the other elements but not sure. Maybe try stacking Super over Chefs if that works better. Not sure this suggestion will look good but just wanted to explore something to make it feel more like one thing. Can you try these two suggestions and submit both updates as separate logos so we can see the effect of each suggestion separately. Meaning just change font in one logo and just try moving text up in the other logo. Please feel free to submit any other creative ideas you may have. In summary, we love it now. Just want to see if there’s a way to make it feel more like one thing. Thanks. 5 years ago
