Discussion

Like simple imagery of the vault. Perhaps the sun needs to be more "peeking" out/barely contained by the vault door? Fonts need to be more interesting.

forgot to put entry #7 for above comment.

7: like the vault door sketch. How about an orange sun in the half moon shape (currently is left white) and incorporate a black line to depict the female portion of the door opening and use sunrays in place of sawtooth pattern?

7: any thoughts as to how the words could work more?

7: this one really has potential. Wish comment left at 5:16am above could be incorporated.

Hi. Thank you for the feedback. I just wanted to clarify on part of your request about a black line to depict the female portion of the door? I'm not really understanding this part. Could you please clarify this part?

I'll get on it as soon as I get your reply.

Thank you.

60: thank you for the change. In response to your question related to my black line thought, perhaps a black line could be added to the visible outer perimeter of the newly added yellow sun? If the sun was a little darker orange, perhaps one would not need to add? Also, would it be possible to go back to the existing font as you did in #7?

Thanks.

64: Liking the pic a lot and think you have fully optimized the idea. A slight tweak to the font would be great. I really like the font used in #57 but don't know if you can view it. I don't know about font colors but think #57 did have an interesting idea. Finally, I would prefer the pic to be on the left side of the words as opposed to above. Nice job!

86: My colleagues like this design as well and have asked if there is a way to visually demonstrate that SunVault is tied to electricity. Silly starter thought.......maybe an electrical cord and plug.......?

102: thank you for your patience. A peer has asked if a keyhole or other designation could be done so as to not confuse the vault wheel with a fan. He said he gets it but others not associated with the project may not.

Hi. Thank you for the ranking and the feedback. I would love to incorporate any of your ideas. However, I can not include such concepts as keyhole since it's something that was not mentioned on the brief and the designer "dapc79" has right to use it since he was the first one to use it in this contest and it violates the honor code for this website for me to use it. If you have any other ideas that you would like to include in the design please let me know and I'll be glad to incorporate it to the design.

Thank you.

105: One of my associates mentioned that maybe one could make a long-levered door handle as opposed to the full diameter fan wheel look..........or maybe some hinge design elements as per these images:

Please advise if you can't pull up the images via the link. Thanks.

106: Love the addition of fastener elements! Nice job!

Please note my prior comment regarding door handle/hinge elements. Very exciting!

Off the wall question: do you have an email where I could send you another small project? I have two slides that have a pictorial flow chart that has been done in a very "engineered" fashion. They need a little TLC. Do you take credit cards?

Sure I can do other projects for you. You can send me the info on the other project to: elliotbae@gmail.com
For the current project "SunVault" we have to exchange comments through logotournament only unitl the contest is over due to the regulations but us exchanging emails for other projects should be fine.

Thank you and I'll get on the requests about the SunVault as soon as I can.

110 and 111: I think the magic and simplicity has been lost. I thought maybe there would have been some heavy hinge, offset handle configuration etc similar to the pics via the links above. The cord/plug seems like an afterthought. Sorry.
