Your designs so far look fantastic. The incorporate our color scheme correctly, symbolize both elements of our company name and include a hint of video production element with the "play button" symbol. Thus far, we feel the simplistic conveyance of these elements is the strongest point of your designs. The orange dot over the "i" is a nice subtle touch. Good work.
Entry 154, really like the different style of dolphin body. A couple of variations we would like to see on this design:
1. Shrink the yellow in the center as in your previous design.
2. Just curious, what would these sleeker dolphins look like on top of the 'S' in SunDolphin? Saw something similar with swirls on another logo and it made me think of these dolphins. Have no idea how it would work, would just like to see it - Don't necessary want the 'S' inside, but what are your thoughts?
Thank you for trying the point number 2 suggestion above. Looks like that's really not going to work. It occurred to me there may be a great design possibility here to incorporate our tag line, "Dream! Plan! Create", into the logo graphic, since the base design uses three dolphins. Any ideas?
It appears there has been some misunderstanding over the rankings for this contest. We have (had) our top 5 designers in each of the top five ranking slots. Thereafter, all designs are grouped by designer, making their relative ranking irrelevant to the outcome of the contest. I made this change after receiving an email form LogoTournament explanining, at my request, how the top 5 are determined. Evidently, some designers assumed by the changes that we were no longer interested in their designs, which couldn't be further from fact.
I assure you, if your design is in one of the top five ranking slots, your design has an equal chance of winning as any other of the top 5.
In my opinion, tag line would be great if positioned at the right of the company name #198 Without the tag line just makes the design look more simple. Thank you very much, for your appreciation in my work.. :)
Another note. Thanks again for including the tag line in the designs at our request. However, after seeing many designs that include the tag line, we are leaning away from including it in the final logo design. Subsequent designs do not need to have the tag line included.
Referencing your latest entry #212. I think the design you've created with prior iterations are pretty much on the money. The "less triangular" comment was intended specifically for the abstract designs #'s 156 & 157. Sorry for any confusion.
Thank you for your latest revisions. The revisions entered appear similar to some of your other entries such as #114 & #115 and not so much a variation of of the abstracts #156, #157 and #210.
254 is really interesting. It looks like there may be some gradient, it's hard to tell. Could we see it smaller in scale and try to incorporate some purple in the design?
Also, we've decided not to include the tag line in our logo.
Hi, We like that the dorsal fin has been added on #308. On this same design, could we see what the last crescent in front of the dolphins nose looks like in yellow instead of purple?
Thank you for the update #331. I think the black dolphin head looks better! I am curious, is the image file a low resolution file? There appears to be aliasing along the curved lines, especially of the dolphin head...and the colors seem a little less vibrant than other designs.
Also, I do not know if we would want to go this direction, but can you think of a way to include some video production related graphic within the text portion of the design without jeopardizing the simplicity and clean look? Maybe something like using a black film strip in place of the "l" in dolphin. We are liking the the art graphic as is. Anything your creative mind comes up with. If this addition makes the overall design begin to look "clunky", we will probably not use it.
One more request please.... Would it be possible to post designs #341 & 342 in a font size one or two points larger so that we may more easily compare it to the other designs?
Thank you for being so responsive during this process. We are diligently pouring over the many designs you and others have submitted. The process can be quite overwhelming!
Would it be possible to make two revisions:
1. I am not sure I can explain this correctly, but I will try. In design #355, please increase size of the graphic emblem so that that the outside diameter of the emblem is approximately the same size as the outside diameter of the emblem in your design #162 (using the tips of the dolphin tails as the outside diameter). I do not know the tools you are using, but in Photoshop, it might be accomplished by pulling the corner out a bit using free transform. That is the only way I know how to describe the change I am suggesting.
2. In the new revision described above, replace the "o" in "SunDolphin" with a camera aperture/diaphragm emblem. We are trying to experiment with different film/video related elements in the "SunDolphin" text.
I believe if we change the font size in #362 to be the same size as in #355 we will be there. Please leave the camera aperture as the "o" in SunDolphin.
Also, can you make an additional version as described above, except with the dot over the "i" in purple. We just want to see how this balances out.
Hi, For entry #362 could you please place the logo on a black background or us to see what our logo/design would look like if embroidered on a black shirt?
Also, any other ideas you have to incorporate a film/video production type symbol invto the SunDolphin text would be appreciated. Any one letter would be enough.
Hi Sir, I think the play button above the 'i' or/and the lens aperture in the 'o' have simply describe a video production company, so that the logo looks clean.
new entry #384 in a black background #385 with the pause button between 'u' and 'n'
#385 and #386, very clever! However it appears you went to the smaller font size again. We prefer the slightly larger font size as in #362. As clever as the pause symbol is,(and we liked it), the pause symbol may not be as powerful as the play symbol in marketing our company. For that reason only, we moved it to the not-interested bin. We really like your creativity though.
Any other ideas?
The design on the black field looks very good, thank you for the revision. As information, any design revision from here on should use the larger text font.
We are pouring over our options at this time and calling on some business associates to review all of the designs. At this point, we cannot think of other revisions to request. Therefore, the ranking list is remaining relatively static for the next couple of days. So far, your designs have been well received by our panel. If you are inspired by another revision or design concept that you would like us to consider, please leave us a comment and we will make sure you are into position to submit them.
Thank you for your creative efforts, SunDolphin Productions
Hello Bayoudesign, Would you please increase the font size for the text in #362 yet another few of points. We are narrowing our selection down. This has been a challenging initiative.
We have a question. If there are design elements we like from two different designers, are the designers allowed (and willing) to collaborate? In particular, we would like to see your graphic emblem with the text and play control button idea from fgraphic's entry number #330. We do not know that this combination would necessarily be the winner, but would like to see what it looks like. Are such collaborations permitted?
Thank you for your quick response! The larger font in number 403 is more appealing to us.
As info, regarding our previous message, we are sensitive to the rules regarding intellectual property and are not asking any designer to use ideas created by another. We are strictly talking about a collaboration between two designers. In an earlier correspondence with LT (Ivan ?), they indicated this may be possible with the designers' consent.
Bayudesign, "Thank you" to you and fgraphic for working together to show us the combined design. We think we will stay with your design number #402, but would like to see the iris "o" be more defined. Maybe by thickening the white lines.
