Re: CorelDRAW. In the past if there is an issue with output, the winning designers have just downloaded a free trial version of CorelDRAW and then import their design / outputted in DRAW from there.
Suggest you drop the sandwich graphic. Perhaps something like along the lines of your viewinz design?
Love the overall strength of the shield image- looks great.
Can you insert a map of NZ and lay over the green/blue but behind the text?
Can you remove the "New Zealand" and"Franchisee Convention" text from the grahic body and just lay as a seperate text directly below the shield? I see the company logo being placed underneather the shield, and it will be approx. 120% width of the shield.
As an side idea, can you create something along the lines of this?
QUEENSTOWN - dominant text in the solid grey / white line/graphic style that you have created above. Soft drop shadow to lift the text in the same style you have above.
Maybe NZ map or NZ Fern in grey to lay as second object behind the dominant text.
Minor text to be placed above and below the dominat text.
Company text to be placed above the dominant text - say 60% width of dominat text.
Hi Stan, Thanks for all the feedback/suggestions. I had a go with the map of NZ behind the hero text - however I felt it became too over crowded and detracted from the image as a whole. I've gone with the scenery of Queenstown on this one as it lends itself to a really clean/fresh and natural image which conveys NZ anyway. I have left all the text within the shield as it appeared disjointed and 'added on' when placed beneath. The Subway logo is strong enough to be placed underneath the shield. Let me know what you think, these are my thoughts anyway....
