Please check... 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #268 Based on: https://help.logotournament.com/article/36-files-you-will-receive "The designer will reduce the file to curves or outlines. This means that your file does not have embedded text that can be edited." this is exactly what we need, the ai and/or eps file with just the logo separated from the text. For example we want to experiment with the eyes and mouth and touch up, much easier with just the logo in the file without text. plus can you also send us a simple white version of the logo: "Request-able Variations of the Winning Logo Upon Client request the Designer is required to provide the following logo variations: White Background" Thanks. More feedback tomorrow and approval if the designer is happy. We can't do anything anymore once we approve the files or even communicate, so we have to solve all open problems in this phase. 4 years ago Vagia commented on #268 Yes, i know. As i said before, when the payment has been verified, I will send you the rest of the files (separated) and the font via private messages in a zip file. 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #268 Hi again, quickly looked at the submitted files and give it to the designer here, should get feedback tomorrow. However the logo and text are still merged. As I said above we need the logo separated (without the strict text and tagline) and if possible tested in small resolutions (16x16, 32x32) as well, you have a much better insight how it works and looks there. Thanks. 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #268 no problem, as long as we have the logo in all formats and it looks good big and small, we can work with that and do our derived work ourselves. 4 years ago Vagia commented on #268 Thank you for choosing me as the winner. The process is: I will deliver the final files to you through LogoTournament. When the payment has been verified, I will send you the rest of the files and the font via private messages in a zip file. Unfortunately, I can not work with the mascots since I am working full time on making the logos. Thank you again. 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #268 Congratulations I have selected you as a winner already as your logo is by far the favorite. the mascot ideas from you didn't convince us yet, we will try to make a few ourselves based on the basic logo (can send you some links later). it would be great to get the logo and the font text as separate files (and maybe 1 version together), the logo as 256x256 and down to 64x64, 32x32 and especially 16x16 for favicon.ico. If needed the complexity of the logo should be reduced for smaller sizes. For the font css/html would be prefered, but if you can tell us all about the used font we can figure it out ourselves. If you are still interested, we still could continue working on mascots and the websites the logo is integrated via a 1-on-1 project here. 4 years ago Vagia commented on #273 Withdrawn for blog... 4 years ago Vagia commented on #272 Withdrawn for documentary... 4 years ago Vagia commented on #269 Withdrawn ... 4 years ago Vagia commented on #270 Withdrawn for tutorials... 4 years ago Vagia commented on #269 Withdrawn for documentary... 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #268 Kwl. See comments in 2nd 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #225 Withdrawn About the variations: the mascot for the go language is used in Emojis https://is5-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple123/v4/f3/69/bb/f369bbaa-2549-6e16-f16d-85b4a1900fff/pr_source.png/576x768bb.png and on the different website pages: https://blog.golang.org/gopher https://miro.medium.com/max/667/1*uo_i3gm2se2tUGNqdHn4FQ.png We would only need a few variations atm and others can create their own later on: - Main logo on https://strict.dev favicon extension etc - Documentation https://strict.dev/docs/Overview maybe holding a book or pointing left - getting started/tutorial https://strict.dev/docs/GettingStarted - one for the blog https://strict.dev/blog/ - and maybe one for packages/libraries, but we can do this ourselves when needed 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #101 Withdrawn This was the favorite font so far 4 years ago Vagia commented on #225 Withdrawn Hello. Please clarify if you would like the same robot with different features for every different site (tutorials, documentation etc.) or something completely different for every one of them. Thank you. 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #225 Withdrawn nice one :) the right shoulder is a bit strange with the line extending to the right. the eyes and mouth should give some options to make some mascots are you willing to do a few mascot variants too for different sites (tutorials, documentation, getting started, libraries, etc.), we could increase the prize for that :) 4 years ago Vagia commented on #222 Withdrawn Thank you for your feedback. Please let me know for any further changes. 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #222 Withdrawn very nice, the arm is a bit too much and the eyes are japanese manga, otherwise very nice idea and implementation, very mascot implementable 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #211 Withdrawn also the tagline doesn't need to be in the Strict font, which will be probably html text anyway later on, only the logo+mascot is important 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #211 Withdrawn very nice and simple, can you use a big I letter instead of the small i just tried it in 32x32, still looks good. in 16x16 we can't make it out anymore, maybe you can try as well, or simplify for small sizes. as written before adding some character to it to use as a mascot would be great too, maybe it looks from the side and looks or points at something, etc. like this one (the original logo can stay the same and look directly forward, but giving the option to look to the side, etc. would be good): https://golang.org/doc/gopher/help.png 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #39 Withdrawn some examples of clearly visible logos in 16x16 (browser tab, favicon.ico) (besides the obvious ones like youtube, microsoft, apple, etc.) are: fogbugz.com (sitting bird) golang.org (the mascot is really good in small and big) reddit.com (the alien is clearly visible, even in favicon) ruby-lang.org there are many programming languages and tools that have a the icon as an avatar or mascot at the bottom of the page, even in documentations and tutorials he is always present: golang.org has https://golang.org/lib/godoc/images/footer-gopher.jpg and in documentation (not consistent however, but still cool): https://tour.golang.org/welcome/1 yeoman.io has https://yeoman.io/static/yeoman-character-sticker.51cef7e007.png the idea is that the base logo and mascot exists and other people can easily create their own variant like this one: https://github.com/golang/dep/raw/master/docs/assets/DigbyShadows.png 4 years ago DeltaEngine commented on #39 Withdrawn really like your suggestions, especially the robots with 1 and 2 circles around it. the font is a bit too much, the other suggestion with the normal font is fitting better. you can just suggest the robot icon itself, the font and text will most likely be all html text what is also important is the visibility in small sizes (like 16x16 as described in the project description) 4 years ago
