Thanks for your entries. We are getting some feedback that maybe having an umbrella as a part of our logo somehow limits us. If you have anymore ideas please submitt as we are looking to prehaps move in another direction. We can logo anything...boundless, limitless...any ideas? Thanks, Brian
I originally thought I wanted an umbrella in our logo because I like the symbol and we do sell them and also have our own brand “Sterling Umbrella”. Since we started this contest however several people have commented that it makes us look like that is all we do is umbrellas which I now see the point. Also looking down the road 10 years will we still be doing umbrellas to the same degree...that we do now? we can't be sure. Its a bit of a paradox. Right now you are ranked and I like where you are going with the road idea that is very good! I like the way boxing the "sales and promotion" looks to in a couple the designs. It provides the pop especially sales...We also want something that will look great One color as the logo with the umbrellas do look great in one color especially in white on blue background. My son commented he liked the "facebook feel" to that, I do agree but the word Sterling has great meaning attached to it already, and it is important that the logo portrays that too. My hope is that this all helps build some awareness and understanding. Thank you for your feedback and great efforts thus far. This is great fun for me! Hope that this is helpful.
