Sorry so late we are close to picking a winner and keep coming back to your 86. Can you make the core look
Not faded but more clean looking and also can you change the color to make the red and blue darker? Can star be one color maybe with a yellow outline to make it pop?

Can we play around with a look that has star in place of A in word Stars with bars flapping over rs of stars

Also can we try one with star replacing both A in stars and A in Bars at that same angle something cool like that?

Hi. I have worked up some variations, cleaned it up, changed the angle of the star and stripes in some, solid color star in one with yellow accent (yellow accent in a couple), and without the fade look on any. Changed the color to darker blue and red in all.

However, re: the star for the A, since a designer already used that "concept", I am not allowed to do so.

If you would like to see the other variations i worked up, I would need to at least temporarily be put in first place until I was able to upload. If you would like that, please let me know by message that I have been moved so that I don't miss the opportunity.

Oh, my error, i see you are in the top 5 currently (I had thought you were in judging), so I would only need to be put in the top 5 for me to upload (and again, you can rerank right after). I don't like the faded look I am looking for cleaner solid colors

Can you try a couple variations of tilting the star the other way (instead of leaning to 2 of a clock make it the 10).

Also can you try putting the star in place of the A in STars with the bars flapping over the rest of the word? All in solid colors not faded.

I would like an off setting color also for the & sign instead of the gold you had in 84 and 85 can you do a yellow or orange and let's see how it looks?

I don't want a regular red and blue maybe a darker red and blue something cooler that stands out not so american red, white and blue but cooler and edgier colors.

I just uploaded what i created from the directions from last night. Any of them more to your liking? Would you like me to change the color of blue to a really deep bluish toward the teal side--that can sometimes look striking with red? or something like that and maybe go yellow orange/bright light orange on the "yellow parts"? Just saw your note re: the & sign and had already included that in some of them.

Re: the star instead of an A in stars, as per my previous note, since another designer has already used that as "their concept", they "own" it for the contest and therefore i am not allowed to use. Sometimes if you really want to be able to have another designer use an "owned" concept you can contact the designer who did use it and ask their permission to have another designer use it, but that usually only works if the person wasn't ranked and is ready to withdraw already, or you offer them some kind of compensation for letting someone use it if the resultant design wins. Unless that's a make or break part of the design.......

new entry 138 has the dark teal i was talking about---however, when you look at it try not to look at the others at the same time, because the other blue in the background surrounding it doesn't let it show "its true colors". Look at it by itself. thx.

ps: addition to that last comment--i could take it a little less to the green side also.

I am going to be taking off for awhile in about an hour. Do you have anything you would like me to try/post before i go?

Can you do 147 with the same color & sign as the words in blue?

same with 146 can you make the & sign the same color as words

so, anything else you would like me to try?

I am going to ask Ivan (staff) if it would be alright to put a star with a flag tailing above as the A in Star since the other one i am worried about infringing on concept has the A as a star that is a guitar. I'm guessing he will say it is not okay and does infringe, but will ask anyway. If it is okay, i have an option prepared.

191 and 192. Colors sampled directly from flag (imported the pic of it). Wasn't sure if you just meant with the blue and red from it or also wanted a gold tone. (I tried sampling the "gold" in a darker area but it really just comes out sort of a saddle tan.

(Also, there are a lot of colors of blue and even a couple of different reds in that flag. I tried to pull the ones most representative of most of the flag.

Further direction welcome.

ps: i took another sampling and produced 194 (the gold star gradient is where i took samples from various points in the flag)

195 is the same as 194 except that the kerning between letters is tightened a bit, and i included a white edge on the &

FYI, As per my comment above, I did ask Ivan (staff) if the star as the A in the word STAR with the trailing flag would be an infringement against the other designer and he said yes, that it would be advised me I should not enter my version.

Still willing to do other adjustments or ideas if you have a request.

#230 is the original with the star flipped as originally requested, the bars draped at a slight different angle, the and sign using both the blue and red and the colors sampled from the requested image.

don't know if you've taken a look at the newer ones that i posted just before it went into judging or not. I know that I think the time marker they show on last ranked would indicate not, but I don't see when people have actually just checked into the site without doing a ranking. Would love to have you check them out if you haven't. Still willing to do adjustments if needed.
