Hi, and thanks for your feedback. Here are some additional variations for your review. You seem to like purple, so I've done a purple version and shown that it would work well on a white or black background. I've also done a version in blue, showing that this logo works in one color, and in white on a blue background to show the reverse.
You might be interested to read this really short but informative article by renowned graphic designer David Airey. It's about what makes a good logo -- these are characteristics that I always strive for in my designs:
http://www.davidairey.com/what-makes-a-good-logo/Whatever you choose, it's vital that you ensure the logo will work in one color. A logo that doesn't just isn't a logo, and you'll eventually run into problems if you don't make sure of this up front. That's the best advice I can offer.
