#42: I like this one (I am now leaning towards green) but have two comments - 1) healthcare should be one word and 2) the EKG symbol is too symetrical as a stand alone inside the "w"
Sorry about that confusion. What I mean is that the line on both sides of the symbol are basically level. That never happens on an EKG report; one is always higher than the other. You kind of did it in #42 but it is hard to tell because it is hidden in the letter. However, don't worry about it because I really like what you did with #48. That one is one of my favorites of this process and will be ranked high.
I like #65 & #66 but would like to see a little more small caps contrast (the size difference between the "s" and the rest of the letters) - say about 75% - 80% instead of what looks like 95% (in other words the other letters should be 75% - 80% of the size of the "s"). Thank you.
#72: I really like the font work on this one. Can you make the red taper off like you did on #66. I am trying to see whether I like the green or red better and want everything else to be the same.
#81: Wow. Very cool. I wish we had more time to develop this symbol that would make it unique to my company (such that it would represent the company on a stand-alone basis even without the text). In other words, I love the white on red but it doesn't quite stand on its own
Hello Client , Thanks for the rank if you can help me to improve my entry further so that i can nail it for you . 2nd rank is the most painful rank !lol
Surya Thank you for your persistance. The last 3 weren't what I was looking for but I really am intrigued by #81. The problem is that if I eliminate the words the EKG symbol in the red circle is great but doesn't create a brand necessarily. That was my challenge with some of the other logos I received that had a stand-alone symbol. If perhaps you could make the symbol include an "s" or something else (along with the EKG symbol) that really made it unique & distinguishable, that would help a lot.
By the way, just because you are in the #2 or #4 spot doesn't mean that you are necesarily ranked #2. There are visual presentation factors involved as well. I have changed it up a bit lately but #1 & #2 are pretty equally ranked (I could easily flip them around), so I hope neither of you 2 designers read more into it than that.
I really appreciate your diligence (you started low and worked hard for a tie for #1 at this point) and regardless of whether or not you get the nod on this one, we own multiple companies (several others with the Speedwell name) and so will be doing other designs this year so I hope to see your work on some of our future campaigns as well.
#81: Had a thought. I may be crowded but if "speed" were in white on the red background at an angle to the left of and coming up matching the angle of the EKG symbol with the white line of the symbol (so it would say "speed W" inside the circle) extending to a red line under the name "Speedwell" (tapering off like you did in #77), that might provide the type effect that you did in the Resonance brand identity campaign. Don't know what it would look like but I am VERY interested in seeing how that would turn out.
Sorry Surya First time in tournament. Didn't realize I would be cut off like that. Learning though. A little disappointed because I felt like I just needed another hour or so. Look forward to seeing your work on my next project (probably Speedwell Capital).
#81: I am trying to create a brand and a logo in one. The "Speedwell Healthcare Partners" is fine. However, you introduced the symbol of a white EKG symbol in a red circle to the left of the words which I like. The white EKG sign ends at the edge of the circle. My first recomendation is to extend that EKG line from the edge of the circle with a red underline that tapers off like you did in #77. That ties the symbol into the rest of the logo. My second need is to make the red circle a brand by putting either a white "S" in the uppper left part of the red circle (which would essentially make it look like "SW" for Speedwell) or the word "Speed" in white at an angle going upwards on the same angle as the EKG sign. In either example the EKG symbol acts as the "w". By doing this I create a logo AND a stand alone branding symbol of a red circle with either a "S W" in it or a Speed W" in it. I hope that helps
#98: Getting better. I like red better than the green. Now let's move it up so the red line is a continuation of the white line inside the circle. Next, taper the red line towards the right like you did in #77. As for what I think is the name "Speed" in the upper part of the red circle, it is too small. Perhaps you could change that to an "S". Make it large enough so that it is in scale with the EKG "W". That will require part of the letter in white inside the circle and part of it outside of the circle in red. I hope that makes sense but what you would essentially have is a large SW with half of the S in white inside the red circle and all but the long line coming out of the W inside the same red circle. Thank you.
#100: Now move the line up so it matches up exactly with the white line. Again, please taper it (make it slightly thinner at the end on the far right) like you did in #77. Finally the "S" should be bigger to match the size of the "W". This means that you will have to probably move it slightly to the NW and outside of the red circle. That part of the "S" that is outside of the red circle should then be red.
#102: Red line perfect. Size of "S" good. Now move it up in a NW direction so that half of it is out of the circle. I think once you do that, I will be ready to present to my team for final decision. Thank you.
#103: The "S" in #102 was the right size. It just needs to be moved up and to the left a bit (what I meant by NW) so that half of it is in the circle and half outside the circle.
