Hi again, Tzina - we have narrowed the list of our favorite 5 designers and, while we are impressed with all the designers that have submitted ideas, you are definitely on that top 5 list. We just want to see some small adjustments, if that's okay, as we have some specific design ideas we are really keen on trying with your work. Here they are:
1. While everyone likes what you've done a lot, a couple of people have wondered if it might look too much like an image of a cell (a virus or etc.) when they didn't know about the spark context. We think that was because there is a visible ring at the outer edge of some of these. We'd like to see you play with having the outer ring or any similarity to a virus cell less pronounced. It looks cool, but we don't want to draw the comparison.
2. This is an odd comment, but we're being careful here: By having the spark erupting where it is, it makes the design look a little bit like the logo for Touchstone Pictures, which is a comparison we also want to avoid. Could you play a little with moving where that eruption is happening and the direction it's going? And maybe trying one that has more than one spark?
3. Can we try one or two that have the appearance of molten rock inside that sends cracks around the outside? Picture the idea of looking down on a stone volcano caldera, which is about to erupt and the stone is cracking along the surface in various directions.
4. Finally, can we try playing with the font a little bit? We like the one you've chosen, but would like to see other variations. It could be that the letters in that font are a little spread out. And as long as you are tightening them or changing them, feel free to get creative in terms of whether the whole word is one color, or there is one color (or neutral) for one half the word, and something more red or orange or yellow for the other half the word (i.e. spark and stone). Other designers tried this and we actually liked it.
And of course, if you have any ideas of your own that you don't mind experimenting with, all the better!
Thanks again.
