hi, instead of playing off the tooth image, can you play with the idea that the Soutwest Smile Centers are nationwide...maybe use a compass or image of the US some how?
sure. is the compass your idea or did the designer ar-razzaq use it first? if it is his concept, i may not be able to use it but i will come up with some ideas for sure.
not my idea...first time user of this site so not sure what to do...how about playing with the US map? I don't want the logo to look cartoonish like most of them seem to be...cool and hip if possible.
I put some helpful tips on the front page in the discussion section so that should help you. Basically if a designer has an original concept, no other designer can use it. Of course, expected or common elements or anything you specifically request can be used by all. Let me know if you have any other questions.
cool...can you get rid of Alaska and Hawaii, make the US more of an outline (not solid) and have the words Southwest Smile Centers run thru the US with the "U" in the SW region of the map? does this make sense?
so far my favorite is #35 though I like the fonts of the others...can you play different fonts like you have on the others? I guess I'm trying to avoid the logo looking like a cartoon or diminishing the serious medicine our dentists perform such as the TMJ and sleep apnea work...they are far beyond filling cavities. thanks
I have uploaded a few variations emphasizing "southwest." still working on a way to incorporate a dental or smile element in #58. Let me know if that's important to you.
the Southwest theme is based on the ad running in Spirit Magazine (Southwest Airlines). Can you put dots that represent the 73 main cities we have dentists in? Maybe on #s 42, 43, 44, 46 instead of tooth or 53 & 56 instead of tooth or pin?
in #59 i added some dots. not exactly 73 but i can do that if you want. I didnt want it to busy and not sure exactly where the dots should be either...
right idea with #59 but the cities are scattered from Seattle to Miami, Boston to San Diego...perhaps you can put a dot to represent every major city in the US...Seattle, LA,SD, Phoenix, St Louis, Minneapolis, NYC etc...it doesn't have to be all 73 but so the logo doesn't look crowded but put a dot in every big city in the country.
forget that the name of this thing is Southwest...its a NATIONWIDE business...we just so happen to be using the name Southwest due to the fact we will be on the airline.
I like everything about this latest logo BUT the fact you are accentuating the southwest region of the US...scatter the dots everywhere there is a large city...the airline flies to 73 cities throughout the country. I can send you a list if you like...otherwise I love the logo.
i do like the addition of the smile to #75 and actually, your tooth is the best I've seen so far although I have been trying to avoid using a tooth as our dentists do more than just teeth...the smile is the result of jaw/sleep/neck pain solutions etc. I guess we can work on that in the next phase since you are in it...you've done great work!
thanks for your work. i'm waiting for some feedback from others...I am not sure what to change if anything. want to make sure the logo chosen will speak to the consumer that the SWSC's are the best, only, most trusted, serious source for dentists in the country.
i'd like your feedback. Which one of your logos would be the best representation for a serious network of amazing dentists. are these the right colors that a consumer will be drawn too? what questions am i not asking? this logo will be seen by over 3,000,000 people per month and I want the logo to be a strong compliment to the message in the ad. thanks for your help.
Is this for a permanent logo or just an ad in the magazine? If you are looking for a permanent logo then unfortunately, I think you may need to go in a different direction. I am being honest even though I have invested a ton of time in creating for you what I already did. If this will only used for the ad then I think it is headed in the right direction and yes the colors and look are appropriate.
This is a good article to read about what makes a good logo and I agree with it completely which is what I tried to accomplish in my very first submission. My style is smart, simple, clean.
perhaps you misinterpreted me, it is a permanent logo tied to an ad campaign and I believe what is in that article. i am just trying to make the best decision for the dentists who are a part of this network and thought communicating with you was important. thanks
i just want to explain #85. I think you need to have some kind of dental element because if i just look at a US map i have no idea if you are a travel company or what. Also the name "smile center" is because of the teeth/relief from the work of dentists. Otherwise a smile center could be a place that makes you laugh or feel good or something - no idea. So my design shows nationwide/tooth and smiling at the same time. It is also simple and can be printed on a t-shirt or any other media as well as with or without gradients and fits all the criteria. I think it is a pretty smart design and I can probably play with it some more if you like it.
